We knew it was only a matter of time37 chapters until author pulled this shit, congrats
everyone kill this guyBss ntr ending lfg
Not to mention, this story was long overdue for some type of misunderstanding portion. I don’t love misunderstanding arcs, but the groundwork for this one was set up pretty well and didn’t seem completely out of nowhere.I don’t understand why people are getting so worked up, if anything with the tone of the story so far, that’s just going to lead to progress soon, killing any doubts she was after his bro
People change in different ways, sometimes teens get grumpy with not good reason behind it, Rei knew Youta was still a pretty kind kid who has good friends, he had no reason to think A: that Youta was struggling with something other than growing up and B: that HE was somehow involved with it.They do not. Rei is quite aware of how Youta has changed over the years in multiple ways, for example (Rei's own words) that Youta is actively avoiding competing and getting involved with him now.
edit paraphrased Rei's words "Youta changed, he kept people at a distance, especially hated interacting with girls"
I don't think Rei is in any way the bad guy here or the one at fault. But he never reached out and now suddenly wants to scout out the person Youta has been getting close with which seems a bit unfair.
I also do think that a lot of the frustration stems from this whole chapter having absolute zero setup and being a bit too late into the story.
Nothing was organic. She follows him to the club to leave him and do something else which she can quit at any time but his brother is there and she decides to stay there the whole time and it just kept piling on. Everything was just too convenient to max trigger his trauma.
I really want Youta's relationship with Rei to be fixed, yeah he doesn't resent him, but there's no way he doesn't feel some animosity towards him that he's not concious of. I'd love for Rei to find out, only cause I know it'd help fix things up.What really grinds my gears is that Rei adores his little brother, he is almost bordering on being a straight up bro-con. So it would break his heart knowing that he is responsible for his brother feeling the way he does.
This would have make sense if Rei wasn't at same school as YoutaPeople change in different ways, sometimes teens get grumpy with not good reason behind it, Rei knew Youta was still a pretty kind kid who has good friends, he had no reason to think A: that Youta was struggling with something other than growing up and B: that HE was somehow involved with it.
Also, it's a bit weird to say Rei's wrong for having a passive interest in the people around his beloved younger brother, he only talked to her because they were working together. Saying he didn't reach out to Youta as if he had to have known Youta was struggling is weird.
At the end of the day, people don't usually consider negative outcomes when evaluating their situation, accidents and deathly deceases are things that happens to other people, it's never happened to you so it's not likely for it to happen to you. This is not solid reasoning but's usually how it goes for most people, Rei is not at fault for not considering that Youta could have trust issues or an inferiority complex, you don't expect those things to happen, specially not if you are so proud of the person in question, he couldn't see there was an issue to begin with.
It's not sudden, it's gradual, Rei speaks of it as sudden but's more like how "wow, you've grown so much all of a sudden". There's a reason the only stories he has of Youta being a cheerful kid are from when he was a literal preschooler. This would have make sense if Rei wasn't at same school as Youta
Because Idk, if my little brother, who I love the most, suddenly shows different change and behaviour, suddenly start being sad and gloomy. And I'm at same school at him. I would have definitely step up as a big brother, and look for any reason that warrants this much personality change.
