As a performing pianist... Wow. I feel like if stage fright gotten so bad to the point where I couldn't even see the keys in front of me I wouldn't want to see another stage ever again. I really do like how there are two ways you could read the mom's reaction. Especially with the fact that the author obscured the mom's face so you can't actually get a read on her emotions based off that.
