I thought Kanon saying "you have a habit of crying when you talk about yourself" was going to be the most emotional gut punch of the chapter. Maybe the series. That sort of observation would hit me like a truck, being shown by someone else just how emotionally hard I am on myself. To say nothing of how important Kanon is to Saki; so Saki would put that much more weight on that very observation, knowing it was coming from a place of compassion and consideration from a person who cares deeply about her.
And then Kanon turns around and talks about the version of herself she sees in Saki's eyes whenever Saki really sees her, and how much Kanon likes that version of herself. And I think I started crying a little.
Because I wager it's not often anyone gets to hear just how much they are seen by someone they care about and who cares about them, with so much love and adoration. And in Saki's case, where she has come to dislike her self so much, to have the first real love of her life tell her how much that person loves seeing themselves shine in Saki's eyes and expression and demeanor toward them, has to feel like the opposite of gravity—a lifting of a weight that left her feeling like she were drowning for so long. A nice contrast to the first page of the chapter, in fact.
