I changed the title of chapter 49, because this time it's really "Mutual Love". The difference between 相愛 and 相思 is very subtle, so I missed it, and of course Kuzushiro set a trap for me.

Anyway, if you see any error or mistranslation, feel free to inform me.

Edit: changed some phrasing here and there for better flow and meaning.

Thank you as always for such a fast translation.

Once again, Saki is a hidden beast that cannot wait to be unleashed on the world. :meguusmug:

I thought Kanon saying "you have a habit of crying when you talk about yourself" was going to be the most emotional gut punch of the chapter. Maybe the series. That sort of observation would hit me like a truck, being shown by someone else just how emotionally hard I am on myself. To say nothing of how important Kanon is to Saki; so Saki would put that much more weight on that very observation, knowing it was coming from a place of compassion and consideration from a person who cares deeply about her.
And then Kanon turns around and talks about the version of herself she sees in Saki's eyes whenever Saki really sees her, and how much Kanon likes that version of herself. And I think I started crying a little.

Because I wager it's not often anyone gets to hear just how much they are seen by someone they care about and who cares about them, with so much love and adoration. And in Saki's case, where she has come to dislike her self so much, to have the first real love of her life tell her how much that person loves seeing themselves shine in Saki's eyes and expression and demeanor toward them, has to feel like the opposite of gravity—a lifting of a weight that left her feeling like she were drowning for so long. A nice contrast to the first page of the chapter, in fact.

Yup, these last few chapters really did a wonder for Saki. And judging by her responses here I think that she will slowly start to open toward others and be honest about who she really is. I know that her mom, Rinne and Ayano already know and already accepted her. I think their friends in school as well as teachers will also accept her as she is.

Only one who can give her hard time regarding this is Kanon's mom (and again it's a big maybe), and then again it will not be over who she really is but regarding her relationship and possible future with Kanon.

The moment Saki realize that she never had any enemies is the moment when she will truly be free, and it will all be thanks to almost deaf girl who was able to accept her as she is. :meguu:

This got way too real as someone who tends to cry whenever I confide about my past and my insecurities even if I don't feel that sad to cry at all. If someone irl would say what Kanon did to me - the whole observation and how they wish to show me a side of me they like that I never knew existed, god I would never let that person go I would've fallen harder for them. She's a keeper fr Saki, don't let her go

This may be one of the peakest chapters of the manga yet, pls keep cooking Kuzushiro-sama and thanks for the tl!
