Slight whiplash from reading an old manga

Previously, as with Kaze Hikaru,
I really wanted to create a thread just to write down my experiences reading a particular manga.
Not necessarily a review, but more like word vomiting my conflicted and confused feelings and emotions that messed up my brain while reading it.
Things that went beyond just whether the manga was good or not, beyond its story or art style.
When things that I like are mangled and jumbled with things I don't.

Then I thought about it more.

Okay, I know I just gave my best read for the week yesterday, but I really wanted to get this out there sooner rather than later.
Uchikirare Mangaka to Doujin Onna is pretty fun.
The story is also quite timely to current events. Although the focus here is more on the fun parts.
IRL, the situation is more complicated, as far as I know.

I thought this was just a one-shot, but it turned out to be serialized.

Last week, I decided to raise Tsumiki's score, making it the newest entry on my 10/10 list.
It surpassed another series I thought would be on the list first.

And I just realized that the number of manga on my 10s list is back up to 20.
Such a silly thing to get excited about, I know.
But I like a nice, round, divisible number.

And after last year's so underwhelming run, considering some of the ongoing series,
there's a good chance I'll see more additions to that special list this year.

Someone says that reading manga requires less braincells than watching anime.
So I told them em that you can watch anime while drunk.
In fact, some anime are even more fun to watch while drunk.

I just noticed that Mangadex has been cleaning up the weird and incorrect tags on some manga.

I've been quite spoken about this for a long time, but I don't own the site.
So I'm quite happy about this.
There are still a few manga that I think still have questionable tags, but this is a step I can appreciate.

This conversation came up again last night, so I just wanted to say this.
I grew up watching the two unofficial live-action Dragon Ball movies almost every year.
So when I saw DB Evo in theaters back in 2009, I thought it wasn't that bad.

It wasn't good, don't get me wrong.
But even back then, it wasn't the worst movie I'd ever seen.

I saw yet another mangaka, who I recall decided to stop their manga serializations due to health concerns (or something like that),
only to come back with.... hentai chapters.

I guess... making hentai is good for your health.

(Yeah, I know, more precisely because of the less demanding schedule. But still.)
