@Koremitsu_Arita exactly, it's breaking the stereotypical trope of working undercover and stuff with comedy, misunderstandings, etc. until the big reveal. Author just skips the tedious plot filler. To each their own though.
@Ironclad In this case, it's the fact that bleeding the kiba before slaughtering wasn't practiced yet so the thigh meats were the only palatable sections. The rest was left for scavengers called munto which is why the fat dude was so pissed at first.
