The two of you missed the point of my comment entirely. I said using "that guy" is tonally inconsistent for a character who is supposed to be a King. "That guy", "you guys", "those guys" etc are all highly informal speech patterns used in informal speech, why would a King be speaking informally...

The King's immediate shift into informal, Americanized T.V-speech "It was the right call to execute that guy" is super jarring. I really don't understand what the obsession is in scans with overusing "you guys" when it's tonally wrong.

None of the previous girls are redeemable for straight up abandoning him, it took a new addition just to show any base level of empathy. I hope none of them "win", because the main character would be the loser in every scenario.

I skimmed over the raws, do yourselves a favor and skip this one.

What makes the least sense is any ruler allowing the unborn child of the deposed tyrant's son to live and become a potential pawn to any disgruntled, power-hungry nobles further down the line. By not finishing the job, you've created a potential scenario leading to even more suffering.
