Merize's change of appearance is a disguise. Just like @collecterth0 pointed out. It's a lil retcon, considering that in Merize's first appearance, she was much more taller and slender (basically, Nishi pulled an Oda) I guess something happened to Kushimilfy-sama, as she's nowhere to be seen...
