    Usogui - Vol. 49 Ch. 539 - Plan A

A conclusion that really makes you think about what's going on. Fitting for the story that made you rethink everything every step of the way. Huge thanks to Team Duwang for doing such a wonderful translation job!

Usogui - Vol. 49 Ch. 538 - What Was Coming

@Ghetsis November 23rd, 1998 is when Hal "died". Given what I've pointed out in the past regarding the year, it can only be 2009 in universe currently, so you're right that Vehizoma showed up around the time Hal and Baku first met. Regarding the Donor Game, if the Kariume stems from Baku...

Usogui - Vol. 49 Ch. 538 - What Was Coming

He just had to throw one more twist in at the end of it all. The author had planned so much of this story from the start, it's insane to see. The Donor Game was probably long ago, given that Baku had his Kariume addiction from the first time he met Kyara and started his Kakerou domination...

    Usogui - Vol. 49 Ch. 537 - The Vices

Attain world peace through being the evil that dominates all. Baku wasn't messing around when he told Yakou that after the abandoned building after all. I've been thinking about why Baku took ~8 years to reappear after losing StL the first time. Originally I figured it had something to do with...

Usogui - Vol. 49 Ch. 534 - On That Day

@Solano Given the fact that this was an e-mail to Eba, who died a day later, the rest of Kakerou may actually not be aware of this fact. That would explain why Judge screwed up and hadn't realized it was time for the memory loss at the MPD. As far as they understood it, given the exchange...

Usogui - Vol. 49 Ch. 534 - On That Day

So Baku had hints of when Souichi would lose his memories, "based on the moon's cycles". I'm still curious if he was aware that "Perfect" Leader could exist, as this would have been the time for him to learn it, which would explain his choice of an absurd gamble in Air Poker.

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 527 - Drawer Of Uncertainty

So the drawer that disappeared was "3 Near-Deaths".

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 526 - The Man Who Died First

@BossCrab It does seem to be variable how much he loses, but it could actually be to a fixed point still. There's one of two reasons why it wasn't a real problem in the last ~7 years between his time as Hal and the loss right after the tower. The glaring one was Tatsuki's existence. Because...

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 526 - The Man Who Died First

This explains Baku's absolute panic when Leader died in the 2nd round. He could have screwed up the timing window for Baku to be D at 8:59, which is literally what happened. Hence Baku absolutely needing to force his own 2nd near death to set the timer back to the proper timing, as opposed to...

    Marvelous.

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 523 - To The Future

For what it's worth, the story has hammered in that no one ever won ownership of Kakerou through StL, and Leader has ultimately been lauded as a perfect being, an ubermensch as someone put it in the past. For Baku to come this far to ultimately lose, would kill the build-up personally. For me...

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 521 - To That Place

@catx3 I don't think the last one actually happened. Something about the bloodstain is forcing Hal to realize that Baku was at the building before his match with Fukurou, and some degree of information leaked out regarding his memory problem, so there's an emphasis on that. It's similar to what...

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 521 - To That Place

@299792458 First time was 321, when Baku egged Hal on to do what he wanted, second time was Leader's first death dream. So yeah, this is the third time the blood on the suit showed up. Technically Baku actually has blood on his pants in the same area right now due to that nosebleed, but that's...

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 521 - To That Place

@BossCrab It was implied to be about the rubik's cube solving thing that Leader had going on. But yeah, it was actually about the memory losses. Another lost-in-translation thing, similar to the original naming of StL as the Mansion Pass. Not surprising given that's probably how the English...

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 521 - To That Place

Messy hair leader is back! I love Baku and Leader's ridiculously flowing hair when it's not combed back. Edit: Is Leader using "Boku" or "Watashi" now? I'm not sure if he's just going off what Yakou told him, or if the explanation made him actually remember what's going on.

Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 520 - The Approaching Crisis

Leader either knew he'd lose his memory, or he lost it before the death. I'm positive this is the case due to the "Referee Yakou..." line out of him in the previous chapter. When dark Leader showed up in Chapter 454, he said Souichi went through 138 memory losses, including the little ones. He's...

    Usogui - Vol. 48 Ch. 519 - After Deliberation

I like Douji's (sub?)conscious implication that Leader will be the one to win this match, even as he's literally dying. Yakou was shocked by what Leader whispered to him, wonder what he said.

    Usogui - Vol. 47 Ch. 516 - One Chance

I had thought that the ticking was actually the way Leader was detecting the handkerchief, turns out it was the opposite. Great read by Baku. Although I have my doubts about the flattened handkerchief working, but we'll see.

Usogui - Vol. 47 Ch. 515 - The Effort He's Been Putting In

@Muran4ik He "forgot" how to see, and the improved hearing is allowing him to detect the handkerchief via echolocation, yes. I think he learned the ability before this match though, and it just needed some form of setting up similar to Amako during the Minotaur match.
