This, a story of righting a wrong and returning maternal loss. However I'm really starting to wonder if that's actually Yuuma's Mother.

Edit: In the raws on the fifth panel of pg. 7, the owner says 首が飛ぶ (kubigatobu, literally heads will fly) which is a Japanese idiom for someone threatened with being fired similar to how we might say someone/something is on the chopping block/getting axed. It was translated literally in this chapter as the female employee's head will roll which is funny given how later on pg. 12-13 we see that it was the owner's own head which was literally lopped off. I wonder if the author half-constructed this chapter's structure with that expression/payoff in mind.

This is one of those stories that really makes you ponder the immediate aftermath. So did the lady just follow the creepy murder doll home barefoot while it clopped awkwardly along wearing shoes way too big for its feet, worrying all the while that her repatriation plot was going to be waylaid by the doll wandering into the road and getting isekai'd by a truck?

I'm kinda hoping that the story takes a meta horror narrative approach, where we get to connect the dots like in ch. 98 or so that whoever finishes listening to the hundred horror stories will be the sacrifice to keep his mom tethered to the girl's body. Basically, it's our call whether to finish this manga or not, but selling the scare to the readers would be the hardest thing to pull off.
