What does half cat even mean? Is she from the cat family but not a domestic common every day cat? Something like a hybrid, sort of like a liger? Now this is even more interesting now.

Kitsune typically refers to the mystical version in english, so while yes it is just the japanese word for fox the conotation in english, which we are both speaking, is different.
