Yeah popular theory is we have 3ish arcs left before the end, liluna or whatever her name was cosplay fight, okumura's family stuff and the final arc, but with this new arc theres prob 4 leftGood chapter that one, also is it just me but doesn't it feel like we are getting that end of the manga feel about it, with Lilysa becoming a pro cosplayer in the next chapter or two the author may feel it is a good time to end the manga.
This is setting up the plot for the Winter Comiket arc. But there’s also room for a spinoff just for Lilysa here potentially. Probably long enough to last until they air season 2Yeah popular theory is we have 3ish arcs left before the end, liluna or whatever her name was cosplay fight, okumura's family stuff and the final arc, but with this new arc theres prob 4 left
The growth here is more in her reaction to Mr Camera’s comments. Before she just liked cosplaying so she didn’t mind, but as she got exposed to the other cosplayers beyond Nagomi and Mayura, she experienced the fame and weight. The expectations of being a top cosplayer let alone a professional. And then here is his second evaluation. One that has a lot more meaning and weight. Because it’s not some third party guy, it’s her father. So when he says he’s proud of you and how much you’ve grown, it means a lot more. So yes she enjoys spreading the joy of cosplay, but she’s also a damn good cosplayer in her own right. Hence why’s she’s swept into that moment.I really like this chapter, but doesn't it sort of feel like Lilysa's character is taking a step backwards? She's been so resolute in her dream of becoming a cosplay seamstress, and that realization was the result of quite a lot of strong character development. She's always seemed like she's at her happiest when she's making other people happy through the cosplays she makes for them.
Now we have her saying she wants to be the best cosplayer in the universe, and that just feels as though she's back at square one. Rather than thriving via making others happy with her talent, it now feels as though she's back to wanting to utilize that talent for her own recognition rather than the joy it brings others. I'm just not sure I like that shift in her character.
