Hmph.
Allowing personal animosities or desires to outweigh strategic thinking.
How... very Human.
It's that we are emotional, and allow those emotions to influence our choices, that makes us different from automatons.
Even if we ultimately make the same decision as we would if we were not influenced by our emotions, that in itself is a choice, a decision, that could not be made by something without said emotions.
So, while not all that wise, it's realistic.
Adjest at least acknowledges that there was a lesson for her in her defeat; that she now knows what it is to lose.
It is reasonable that she would desire a chance to see if what she has thought about concerning her strategies & tactics since that defeat would be effective against the one who defeated her.
So, in her case, it isn't a true animosity. However, that it needs to be 1v1 indicates that she has self perception and ego involved; defeating him with a superior force would not be the same as defeating him 1v1, and her previous defeat was 1v1, thus, in order to feel that she really has become capable of defeating him, it has to be 1v1.
I sure hope that if it were a "meaningful" fight, one determining the survival of her country, that she would choose differently.
Oh, wait, while she doesn't know it, that's
just what this conflict is, something which will help determine the survival of not just her country, but her very reality...
The other two, meh. Pure self-image.
@Filipe Take a look at
@kronix profile; he admits that some of what he posts is to stir people up.
He's not a true dedicated Troll, however; he does post some insightful stuff at times.
And, he reads a very wide variety of materials, much of which is stuff he'd actively avoid if all he was interested in was the old in-out, despite the impression given by some of his comments. I mean, think about where all you have come across his comments; many are one's he'd avoid because of the tags if that was all he was interested in, and he
does look at the tags.
My understanding is that if you are actively seeking certain types of materials (and not just within what could be perceived as his main interest), he's a good person to contact for recommendations if you can give a good thoughtful description of what you are seeking.
That's because he
does read a lot of different things, and thinks about them, and does a better job than I do in keeping them organized in his head or in lists or whatever; I'm a former librarian, I have great respect for someone capable of good reader's advisory.
