I didn't read the info dump. As he said perfectly, none of that matters, lol

Too bad the worst girl won, but not really a surprise. For how short the series was, the harem of other girls was great and the story pretty interesting, until it came to a conclusion in the final couple of chapters. A great first 75% and worth a read but the romantic and mystery plot fulfillment was sort of unsatisfying.

There was no other boyfriend. She was lying.

As an ending, it was rushed but every character that we actually met had a happy ending. Even the bad "goddess" got to live a proper human life that she missed out on in being fed into whatever this chronological machine was. The new goddess doesn't have to be chained to the machine. She's there because it's the best option for her.

Genuinely awful ending. How are you going to rely so heavily on big twists but also have next to no foreshadowing for the actual twist? Surely you knew you wanted this ending from the start? And why would you make no effort to make the girl that wins actually likable and interesting from the start if their connection was going to be the core of the whole series?

I get it was axed, but I don't feel like the series' issues would've been solved just by having more volumes.

The constant corny peanut gallery TL notes were breaking my immersion over and over. TL notes are not for commentary on the narrative, they are for cultural or linguistic clarifications.

Also, it was super easy to figure out who “the one” was from the beginning. I had it figured out before the end of volume 1, the writer and illustrator were basically screaming it from some panels. Anybody who couldn’t figure it out that fast is a newbie to the manga scene. The twist on the involvement of the “one” in the MCs life was a little bit interesting but also not entirely fresh.

The final volume had a very rushed pace so this was obviously ”gently axed,” which is too bad because I think they could have easily got 8-10 volumes out of this if they played out a full, typical harem rom-com narrative. All the girls were cute and it would have been nice to see more of them. They had obviously made plans for Yosuga to take on a broader role as an “imouto” - her release from the shrine was likely originally going to be a halfway mark for the story in the original plans.
