Based on that end page, It's seems they didn't even tried to talk with Endless Journey to take over the series. No proof or anything and just accuse other for being a hoarder, then try to stir a drama with that end page.

They can just write about how they like the series and want to do fast translations for the reader or not write anything at all, but nope.

Hello! I was the typesetter for Fiancee be Chosen by the Ring chapter one. I work with EJ and was so incredibly sadden and disappointed by this that I just wanted to say a few words.

I learned the skills to be a typesetter/cleaner because I love manga and want to give back to a community that has given me so much over the years. We don't get paid for this. We do it because we love it and you can see that in our work. We don't cut corners in our releases and always put our full effort into our projects.

EJ isn't my first scanlation group to work with, but it's where I've found my family. I found people I can connect with and enjoy manga with. People I can learn and improve from. I love our new little group and I can't just say nothing while someone repeatedly tries to tear us down for reasons that are incorrect.

To address the accusations, I'm going to be as blunt as possible. Our releases are not slow. A month is not slow. There are so many series that takes many months to update, but you don't see Harmone sniping them. As to the claim that we "hoard" series, our leader found them and no one else was working on them. We "claimed" to let people know that we are in the process of releasing. Every series on our list is being worked on and Harmone would know this if, while she was on our Discord, she DMed our leader and had a discussion about our projects.

So, thank you Harmone for "teaching us a lesson." Thank you for teaching us that not everyone in this community is supportive of one another. Thank you for teaching us that even in a place that should be safe and welcoming to everyone, there are still people like you who try to hurt others purposefully just to make yourself feel better.

There is no grey area here. What was done was done with malicious intent and hurt the very real people on the other side of the screen that just wanted to share our love of this manga with everyone else. I cannot fathom how anyone could justify this. There are so many amazing series that are not being worked on.

I hope that the readers understand why this was the wrong thing to do. Instead of attacking us on MD by sniping our series and commenting negative things on our scanlation group page like a coward, it would've been so much more respectful and kind to message us to talk about it directly first.

We plan to continue to work on Fiancee be Chosen by the Ring in a timely manner. Feel free to compare the quality of our work to Harmone's to understand that working on a chapter for 3-4 days is nothing to brag about if speed is at the expense of quality. Thank you to everyone that has said something on our behalf. Please continue to support us in our future release.

Hey that end credit page was unnecessary and childish. It makes you look like an asshole. Tell me did you talk to the group? Do you have any proof that they're hording? The answer to those questions is NO. You just want to cause drama. Just because you're bored, doesn't mean you can attack people with no proof whats so ever. I looked at their releases, and they update frequently. I don't see a problem.

@kilisloe I mean, although it does feels kinda childish. They're not exactly wrong. There are many novels I used to read, the translators of which did many projects and uploaded that one chapter once a month or so whenever they felt like it...and after 3 months of nothing they announced they're dropping it. Within that time I saw someone once start a thread to pick that up but those who replied said that someone already had their hands on it so they can't. I even recommended it to someone who was looking to translate a new novel, but their answer was the same.

Maybe this particular translation team that picked this manga up previously is not bad, but still, it has been a long time since the first chapter upload of this manga. If other translators really are refraining from picking this up because someone is already doing it, then these guys are not exactly in the wrong for being a bit salty for us.

Maybe its a dog eat dog world out there, everyone is looking to get the most popular mangas to translate, and some people might really be hoarding them. They might be releasing often, but those are different mangas, the mangas separately might not be getting many releases like this one. I mean, if it takes more than a month to translate something with chapters available, maybe they should be willing to let it be taken by another team that wants to translate it. (I saw some translators do this, they say something at the end page to let others know that its ready to be picked up, till then they'll translate chapters from it every now and then.)

...but I don't know, my opinion doesn't really matter, I am not familiar with this translator community business, I just thank whoever that's working behind these chapters. I don't hate either of them, and I'm thankful for both of them for giving us these two chapters. I just don't want to accuse one side till the full picture is revealed.

thanks for translating, but the end page is uncalled for. I'm sorry to say this but have you checked with the scan team first? If not, what justifies you for telling all of this? We are all human and we have IRL lives too, not just scanlating, so I'd ask you to be polite when you voice your concern. Thank you.

There's no excuse for their behavior. It's only been a month since they released a chapter, that's not long compared to most monga release dates nowadays. I don't care if people snipe, but when it's done with malicious intent, then I have a problem. They're not being salty for us, they want to cause trouble. I've seen people snipe other groups before, but they always talk to the group afterwards so there won't be trouble later. There were better ways to go about it.

@walter_vi_britannia I don't know why we can't get along either. Our speed is not unusual nor is it slow. Although you may not feel this way, for a group to go behind our backs and snipe our series to "teach us a lesson" is malicious. For me and so many others, manga is a safe space, an escape. I wish we could all support each other in maintaining that space. I wanted to voice my opinion in public because Harmone has made it clear she would rather do things publicly. I wish you could understand where our pain is coming from, but as someone not part of a scanlation group, you wouldn't fully understand the disrespect and betrayal. Thank you for your input.
