damn not how I wanted that to go.

First of all Nezuko's growth was basically erased into oblivion. Her gaining demon blood arts, gaining immunity to sunlight, all of it meant nothing since she just got cured off screen without adding at all to the final fight. The only time she really fought was against the demon siblings. I hate when character growth is just thrown out the window like this. I mean she could become human eventually but she should have been part of the final fight. They had been building them up as a kind of tag team duo with her fire blood boosting Tanjuro's fire sword arts.... but again THAT WENT NOWHERE!

Then Tanjiro goes through so much growth and even starts to turn into a demon but... then he doesn't after not doing anything besides flail around.... so again that went absolutely nowhere.

IMO what would have been more interesting would be if in order to save Tanjiro Nezuko rejected the effect of the cure like Muzan did and chose to live as a demon to gain the power to stop Muzan. Then she would help supress Tajjirou who would choose to become a demon to support Nezuko.

Then either they'd both go to live in the mountains in peace or he'd end up in a childlike state like Nezuko was in and the series would end with them going on a journey to find a new cure but with the positions swapped. But no we're just turning them both into humans and throwing away half of what the series built up for them. I mean it's not that it doesn't work as an ending but it feels a tad unsatisfying because so much was built up with Nezuko's growth as a demon only for it to amount to nothing.

IT feels a lot like every other shonen where the female cast member gets built up only to not add much to the final arc. Naruto, Bleach, ect it happens a lot and it's not that I want them to upstate the MC but I'd like something closer to Fairy Tail or One Piece where even if the female members aren't the STRONGEST they at least feel like they are noticeably contributing to fights not counting small fries.

This is really disappointing. Did the author trick us saying the ending is bad? There's a tragedy tag, yet not a major amount of main characters we're killed off? I was expecting Tanjiro to kill a lot of people including possibly Zenitsu and Inosuke and then have Nezuko kill him, but nope. Instead we get him back, so I guess the "tragedy" here is Tanjiro's shortened life, but that's not very interesting. 7.5/10 , very well done characters, great build up, bad execution of that build up and pretty mundane ending, great art style however; can be both funny and dramatic.

Seeing as the Tragedy tag probably wasn't added recently, I assume it refers to how the story begins, not how it ends.

@simo796 Oh yeah I guess she did help out a bit with a part of taht multi body demon guy. But still that was a while ago at this point and she's been out the rest of the time. Again I just feel they built up the whole Tajirou/Nezuko combo only to scarecly use it especially in the big final fight. Instead everyone just dies to hold Muzan down.

And how would that be stupid? Yeah she shouldn't have shown up early on since he was after her but during the final bit he was completely on the run and the focus was more on keeping him from escaping. She could have shown up then.

Besides saying she can't show up because Muzan is after her is like saying Naruto shouldn't have left the island because Obito was after him. Sure that statement isn't WRONG exactly but if we're talking about making a good story keeping him out of the fight is boring. Same with Nezuko.

because the fight would have been incentrated all to protect nezuko since muzan will go after her all the time.
and because the goal of this manga is to cure nezuko.
