The one punch man webcomic is like a draft of where the story goes and this version is a more polished version of that draft.
Also the change is more or less added for foreshadowing of a future event that the webcomic in on right now

I prefer this one, mostly because it fixes AS disciples. It makes a lot of sense for Iaian to feel Sweet Masks killer intent after seeing it once during the Boros arc. He saw how ruthless he is, so of course he'd keep an eye on him. I thought it weird when in the original ver he just left and thought things would be fine.

Amai Mask was an extremely ugly hero who originally wore an actual mask when working as a hero.

His intense hatred for ugliness turned him into a hideous monster that can disguise itself as a beautiful man.

His current appearance is that disguise.

The revised version shows how much extreme Sweet Mask is. While the mercs are saved, it doesn't detract that Sweet Mask wanted to kill them, and when Iaian saved them, we catch a glimpse on how Sweet Mask's mind work, he ready to turn on his colleagues fellow humans just because they helped "enemies". If the mercs didn't wake up in time and recovered from mind control, I wondered if Sweet Mask would kill the samurai.

damn, the original was so much better. not even human villains can die now. this invasion arc was absolutely tensionless.

Would of preferred a 103.5 version that showed events we missed/not included versus completely changing the past. It didn't have to be different enemies or characters. Author could of showed right BEFORE he killed them all such as perhaps a secret scene of him doing monster stuff? It could of further explained why he had to kill everyone so as to not expose his secret.
