Honestly bro, i dont even find "weeb" as an insulting derogatory. You all who actually felt insulted and going defensive are actually cringey weebs. The bad kind of weebs. Also you know that not all manga lovers are weebs. Weebs are these people that go "Why didnt they use onii chan!! REEEEEEE" when even if you dont like broski, you didnt need to over react.

I actually started liking mangas less a few years ago and prefer manhua and manhwa more unless the manga is a good slice of life.
