Poor Hinata. Either her mother is very possessive of her daughter or it could be a case of she wanted a son but got a girl instead. If you follow the R18+ route & want to treat it as canon info, the Hinata in that version stated she doesn't want kids but without further elaboration. It basically supports that her home environment made her that way. I assumed it was because there are people out in the world that don't want kids.
Quite the dark chapter & I would hope that Sou be that positive influence in her life to break free from that mindset. Hinata is still best girl in my eyes. Thanks for the translations.

Edit: After thinking about it some more, it comes off more her mother being possessive to Hinata’s Dad & just left her. Hinata herself is the result of their relationship & now has a mother that treats her badly. Such an unfortunate situation for Hinata.

I feel like in recent chapters, the whole "Mothers stop having children when they have a son" bit isn't coincidental.
My best guess is that Hinata has(had?) a younger brother, and that he either died or is gone for some reason. The mother spiraling and taking it out on Hinata makes more sense to me that way. Fathers seem to be a wildly uncommon thing in this world.

I believe in this world most men live alone while doning sperm to have an income and contract guards to move around. And a few men live making harem of girls including family using the semen donation as income plus the women income. In both cases I fear men just use women as objects not even look at them as lovers or even humans bc most girls dont know their father kinda sad. I hope Sou show men the way

There are a number of ways this can go, but personally I like the idea the Hinata-kun is actually another person from our world who behaves like the R18 version of Sou, in that he slept with a lot of women with no regard for their mental well being or what effect that would have in this other society. Instead of everyone just being horny and okay with sharing, some get really lonely, really desperate, really delusional and really heartbroken. That leads to being extremely clingy and abusive, in this case one girl taking it out on her own daughter.
