You know what, based on the reactions, I'm making the bet that hinata's father left her mother or hinata's father seduced / raped her.
I can't see male on female rape being too prevalent in their society as a whole. I would hazard a guess that if it exists, it would probably be treated like female on male rape was until relatively recently (the attitude of "shut up, you enjoyed it"). You've got to remember in this world the women are far more sexually aggressive, generally stronger (as men are kept protected and doted upon also without any masculine traits that exist in our society), and the dominant sex by a significant margin.

If anything it seems like he left her after she got too scarily clingy for the guys of that world or she potentially raped him after misunderstanding him being 'nice'. To put it another way, she acted like the girls we've seen so far act in their fantasies.

edit: He may have taken advantage of her monetarily given the first page

Damn, the author finally revealed Hinata's darkness. I'm not sure how Sou the Gaslighter will be able to handle this, but I'm looking forward to it.

Men aren't physically weaker, just the men we have seen so far. If you read the earlier chapters with Sumire she tried to attack him, and he physically restrains her. She writes about it in her super popular Twitter account.

We know there's a lot of misinformation about men based on the conspiracy theories online about them. Satou's imoto friend, told him that if a man sat next to a woman that a man would cum out of her eyes remember?

Satou is uncommon and, based on the description is maybe like male hostesss, movie star attractive. Be we don't know FOR SURE what other types of men in this universe are. For all we know, we might have a CEO or some high-status females with multiple husbands.
I guess other than “naturally” stronger ppl don’t necessarily grow muscles at 15 tho I’ve seen teens with full on beards around then, but this kinda world does seem like women would overwhelm them with numbers as well as them not getting an opportunity to properly “live” and exercise but I imagine it’s also a trauma thing assuming they’d be assaulted before they even reach puberty if not them being sent off into some all males private territory with like the female equivalent of a “eunuch” to be bodyguards , if there aren’t rich women who do basically buy men’s freedom or so

Tho i wonder if there’d be a chapter “checking in” on OG Sou-kun and it’s like “local teenage boy arrested for (physically) assaulting classmate” or something like that or checked into a mental hospital or so (makes me wonder what other countries are like , since Japan is safe but idk if there’d still be war zones of female soldiers fighting each other for political and non male reasons)

It feels bad knowing Hinata is going to go insane later in the story. I am suprised her mother had a male that had segs with her. It seemed that artificial insemination was standard here and contact with a male is a fantasy. It would be very interesting to get info on her dad. Especially since Hinata and her mom have large breasts which are looked down upon. It would also make sense if the man she is obsessing over didn't impregnate her but she still obsesses over him and she was artificially inseminated.

My theory about the mother:

Hinata's mother is an obsessed woman who had been stalking a male, most likely an erotomanic (google it)
She finally r*pes the male and got pregnant
The male, traumatized, went it into hiding or something
She keeps on insisting the male loves her and has become this insane
Most likely killed the male and was in the news, hence why sakura thought she seemed familiar
Also the reason why hinata doesnt want to have children, to not pass the genes of a m*rderer

Poor Hinata. Either her mother is very possessive of her daughter or it could be a case of she wanted a son but got a girl instead. If you follow the R18+ route & want to treat it as canon info, the Hinata in that version stated she doesn't want kids but without further elaboration. It basically supports that her home environment made her that way. I assumed it was because there are people out in the world that don't want kids.
Quite the dark chapter & I would hope that Sou be that positive influence in her life to break free from that mindset. Hinata is still best girl in my eyes. Thanks for the translations.

Edit: After thinking about it some more, it comes off more her mother being possessive to Hinata’s Dad & just left her. Hinata herself is the result of their relationship & now has a mother that treats her badly. Such an unfortunate situation for Hinata.
I imagine that the reason why Hinata doesn’t want kids is because she’s afraid of becoming like her mom. Like, getting impregnated is like the peak “bond” she could get, so she’s afraid of indulging her feelings of possessiveness.

I guess wanting to use condoms in the R18 version is due to her not wanting to potentially end up like her mother in case Sou didn't stick around after they became close. Or just the idea of being parents scares her cause she doesn't want to be a bad mother to her kids even without that in mind.
It’s the likelihood of a mixture of both. When she showed a reservation for condoms in the r18 version and when the MC ask to introduce her friends to him and her sense of abandonment it was clear to me that something at her upbringing or home environment made her fear relationships, trust and even love or sense of bonding with the opposite sex. This background showcases Hinatas fear of not just ending up like her mother theoretically, but possibly even the fear of knowing from this worlds system that a man isn’t tied down to one person. This can make any infatuated women or the family the male help create feel abandoned or not as special, something Hinata hints of knowing from her reluctance to get close to the MC because it’s better to deny your heart than to open it and be hurt. Sadly Hinata possible outlook has stemmed from witnessing her mothers breakdown and even detest possibly her own existence since she suffered verbal abuse from said mother because the mother likely attributes her pregnancy and birth of a child as making her less desireable or perhaps even considering how this world value males, that Hinata was not born a male and perhaps her father moved on to the next female to hopefully make one. Overall this is telling how unstable this world actually is.

I think I'll agree with you of the guy taking advantage of her for her money. That theory feels like it has a lot more weight behind it.

I should've elaborated more, it was more of a working theory or a bouncing of ideas. I do think M on F rape is possible in this world, and would be so easy to deny it. Who would believe it? But in hindsight, it's not plausible in this situation. I think I am wrong there, the idea is losing its merit.

Her raping him is a good theory, but I'm wondering why'd he keep in continued contact with her and also name her daughter after him, that is a lot of history for an event that is one and done.
