He saved Flora from a red-bear when she was young. She was already taken with him beforehand as she told him about the flowers and the likes. Then she went off to find this special flower and was attacked by a red bear. He rushed in and saved her life in the process. As a result she was basically head over heals in love with him from a young age but hadn't seen him for almost 10 years. Him coming back gave her a critical chance to get with him. In the web novel they have "dessert" with her being rather... naughty.
