No pulling out the uncle tells a story that MC suddenly remembers when meeting said death god... First question, why is the Uncle telling MC this story when he's so young? For what purpose? Why will it one day save his life? This wasn't foreshadowed or anything, this is the author pulling all this out of the ass to get an explaination and have it resolved quickly.

If it was really planned we'd have had more foreshadowing to this death god then just "Suprise I'm a deathgod oh now heres a backstory quickly that uncle tells MC about how to trick/placate her out of nowhere".
Someone mentioned it but the uncle is telling him the story after Yoke's parents died, so basically telling him and teaching him about death and reincarnation through an old myth makes sense.

The idea of our loved ones being reborn and happy after death is quite a comforting thought for a child.

Im addition to what Jferrer0 has elaborated, you do realize a flashback scene is a normal way for an author to elucidate to the readers how the character knows about certain other characters and how to navigate against them, despite not having any on scene experience shown to the readers.

Hell, do we have to have a proper forshadowing in the 1st place? It is rather sudden, yes. Is it untenable and illogical? Heck no. Also, every character has said how out of tune his uncle is (despite him not appearing at all during must of the 1st and 2nd arcs) and him telling MC that story to soothe him after his parents death is actually im character

Anyway, If this is enough to make you hate it so much, just drop it. Rate it low and be done with it. No need to whine and quote in the comment sections then.

Yup. It's just weird to me that someone puts such effort for thing they don't like. It's one thing if you have high hopes for it and want it to go better but most of the time it's just not their thing at all but they still keep commenting on every new chapter. Rate it low, give a bad review on database sites, and just... move on.

Or you could ignore the comments and you know move on. Funny your logic works with you too. Some people watch/read a series to hate watch it (Not me, I just want to see this go back to its "Prime"). This series had some interesting beginnings although very tropey and some things that made sense but like a solid 6/10 series but it's been down hill for a while. At 54 chapters in I'd rather not drop if it can go back but if it continues I'll drop it but to tell people what they can and can't do is just hilarious.

Fair point fair point. And yeah, even on the LN/WN it does goes rather mid once it entered the 3rd arc and... things just ended abruptly. It's a slightly a bove average but the manga has been good enough for now.

Warning though, the story will keep doing sudden developments if it follows the LN. The 2nd arc especially will probably make you headdesk if this part already does this to you. Afair, the parts after this sudden Goddess of Death should be smooth enough. Just... be prepared to get annoyed if you follow up to the 2nd and possibly the 3rd arc (which is kinda mess)

Nonetheless. It irks me when someone clearly doesn't like a manga but somehow still follows dozens of chapters after their dislike of it and constantly comments on each new chapter regardless. It's a disservice to others who may like it, trashy the manga may be.

Anyway, if I came off very aggressive, I do apologize. It's hardly my native language and typed words have a hard time giving off the correct nuance. It's a discussion thread and I have my thoughts on how some people seems to waste their time being masochists by reading and giving their time to what they hate.

Peace

Mate there’s no need to apologize to Sir Bitchalot. They seem to only exist to bitch about things that have answers to why it’s a certain way or about things that have reasons for why it happened. All they do is complain about stuff that aren’t actual issues in a series.

As an example, there’s a series where the MC is hiding out in a town, on the outskirts of the kingdom she’s lived in her entire life, and running a cafe but ended up
being discovered by the noble that’s running the town
. It’s a pretty light series that’s quite fun to read but Sir Bitchalot keeps complaining and saying that the girl should have left the kingdom entirely despite how idiotic that would be. She doesn’t really have the money to do so and it’s take a ton of time and paperwork for it to work and she would probably be discovered by the king and other nobles in the process of doing so. Despite the obvious flaws and impossibility of it he still demands that the MC leave the country entirely and live in a different country.

TLDR Sir Bitchalot is an idiot that only bitches about stuff that aren’t actual issues.

Dude, there's no way the uncle isn't related to Yoke, they look so alike. I bet this dude was banging Yoke's mom in secret.

Also the story has become shit so now I'm just gonna meme.

They lifted Persephone from Greek mythology, turned her into a loli and rehashed elements of her story to mix in some hero and his lover. Gee, very creative. Anyway, I guess the tension is over now that protag has found the solution to the problem.

i think you guys forgot the part that the MC proclaimed to his uncle that his dream is to explore this dungeon and reach the edge of the world and the door to the otherworld. Just like his uncle.

His uncle mentioned the story not only to cheer him up, but also as a precaution just in case MC follows his footsteps and had an encounter with the goddess.

seems like author-kun was reading some greek mythos and shoehorned some of it on his work
