Now that is one hell of a love declaration. Doesn't even drop the L-word, just says that she will follow him to the end and beyond.
Now for him to return the favour by filling them up as wellnever mind the power of friendship, just fill him with the power of love...
four times in a row
Nah fam, this chapter is junk food for the soul. Thanks for the translation, but this was a pointless chapter.
Yes.3 kiss or 4 kiss?
Wasn't his dream to explore that dungeon? Well, dream fulfilled, now retire to countryside!Go get married already! Go to some backwater village, and let's change the manga into wholesome slice of life
Well now they have an actual concrete goalWasn't his dream to explore that dungeon? Well, dream fulfilled, now retire to countryside!
Though the fact that they want his soul back means they probably intend to continue delving until they do...
It's them steeling their resolve and communicating their feelings at having realized that Yoke, just like any of them, could actually die at any moment. Even against the really tough fights, Yoke has consistantly pulled through and made everything seem like it's a breeze, so they never have really felt life-threatened before. They also all knew of each other's feelings for Yoke, as well, but seemed to have an unspoken pact not to act on it and let Yoke be the one to make the move while they appealed to him to make said move.Again. I failed to notice what author purpose for doing this. The kiss just feels absurd
I do get the character's reason to do that. But i don't get why the author doing it like this? There was no basis kissing can heal people. The author just have made the basis in this chapter. It really happened out of nowhere. I thought they would use the retreat scroll immediately based on previous chapter. Who would've thought this method exist? Either the other team is ignorant to not give him the clue that this method is needed, or he is the one that hmm.. I don't know how to describe him, or is the reader's fault to not expect that, or author just want to make it more touching like you said. It's them steeling their resolve and communicating their feelings at having realized that Yoke, just like any of them, could actually die at any moment. Either way, they weren't healing him with basic heal first. It's weird. And even after rain's speech (she make it like her life force can be sucked entirely), there was another healing kiss. For what? The first one is half-assed healing kiss maybe. That's why it wasn't enough. Hmm..?
This is different feeling from previous chapter to me. I just '??? ?'
Also Asian countries love the whole "Physical contact to transfer chi/qi/mana" thing like in the original Fate stay night and even earlier. The more "intimate" the action the better the transfer rate.Kisses have had magical power since time immemorial, especially in legends, but: Magic was cast, actively, before the kiss. The kiss was just the medium that she chose to touch him and do the life essence transfer to Yoke. The other followed suit shortly after. He's also not hurt hurt, such that healing magic would help him; he's been constitution-drained or lifespan-drained, basically, and they're sharing some of their constitution/lifespan with him; that's why she said she shared half of her essence with him ("I shared half my life essence"). Whether it's permanent damage or temporary, and they can heal it up given enough rest, I couldn't say, though. The black webbing tracing up his neck seems to be some sort of timer for the remainder of his life, either way.
