crow mask got caught by desir and turned out to be icarus quirgo, some rebel from ~200 years ago. umm desir entered the side guards (i think something like the royal guards, but they're more spy-ish than the royal guards?). a few homunculus attacks and one war later, desir captured a homunculus and extracted the homunculus' magic circles, making himself a fourth circle magician. though since he had draconic magic, it would be akin to seventh circle. um pram ascended to bishop class swordsman, then king class after much teaching. romantica and adjest, i think, also became fourth circle. or are they already? i forgot lmao. and then shit happened, a war happened, and the king of the kingdom of divide turned out to be on the outsiders' side. uh, there's this outsider called pierrot mask who is apparently really strong....? then the leader is introduced to be skull mask (i think it's already pointed out in the manhwa but idek and idec). also, somewhere in the novel which i don't even remember, the system 'artemis' is introduced. apparently, it has the same ability as the homunculus but better. it can 'rewind' time, in a sense, i think. which explains desir's time travel. er, 20 chapters later, the chapter where the church of artemis attacks joad exarion happens to exist, joad burns up all seven of his magic circles to deal some damage to the attacking paladins of the church of artemis. priscilla is then revealed to be the one behind joad's death, under the pretense of 'for the sake of the world, which none of you will ever understand'. lmao my wording sucks. as expected of someone who's failing english class because they can't write a summary properly
