I'm invested in the backstory, man. I want to know if the mom was depressed like the implications in ch1 before being hypnotized for example. Everyone seems to know about this lamp already too so I wonder if his father is involved in that too.

2. doesn’t know about the organization in question;

3. Can’t trust mage girl not to kill him or to release the genie. (And even if he did he still has to accept the genie ad his sister before he can pass it on to her;

4. the guy literally promised he’d set the genie free;

5. And finally the genie is also clearly limited in his abilities otherwise he would’ve already have given MC his sister.

From what there is I think it’s illogical for MC to make a wish against said organisation.

To add to this point I forgot that once the genie becomes his sister she can’t grant any new wishes until he accepts him as his sister.

The reason why his second wish worked despite this is that the genie returned back to genie form after he ‘died’ due to a loophole allowing him to make his wishes before the genie had to become his sister again.

I think I've figured out the backstory.
His father is also the father of the council president. He's rich, obviously, and had an affair with MC-Kun's mom. But, eventually, while MC-Kun and the President were close as kids, the wife wised up and demanded he cut off the other family. And MC-Kun, obviously feeling deeply betrayed, wished to have an ACTUAL little sister-not one that would be torn away, not one that would "abandon him" (I bet she was very cruel when they were separated, but over the years, that turned to guilt...and the guilt into a weird bro-con obsession).
But, as a final act to try and help his son, the father gets him a "special scholarship" to this super rich school, not seeming to realize what a burden that'd actually be

Now, he plays Mahjong to make the money for his mother's "allowances from your father" and does errands for certain people with money for it...like the witch girl.
All while being overseen by the gun-twink and bullied by the rich boy who he cleans out every "Occultism club" meeting.

I’m seeing a lot of comments thinking that the father is sending them money. he’s not. It was shown in an earlier chapter that our MC put money in an envelope (presumably won from gambling in the school) while his mother wasn’t looking and then gave it to her saying it was from his father. His mother thinks that his father is the one sending the money that’s why she says that their father sent them money that day and that they should have a feast.
