YES, I was quite shocked myself!! Actually, the episode has quite a Dystopian-Monogatari-esque feel to it, which is quite new to me so it colored my suprised!! I'd say, The artistic expression is one of the greatest point of the episode, it really managed to make the most out of it, It isn't quite clear to me where the story really wants to go but then again, it's just the first episode, its too soon to say anything about that, I'll give it a benefit of doubt and see whether it's actually good or not!!!

Our worries are mostly that the trailers showed a bunch of idol looking anime original characters, and are not sure what route they plan to go with that.

Who knows, maybe one of the new dudes is the dude from the NTR ending

My thoughts on Episode 3:-

This episode was kind of a mixed bag… it had its little ups and downs. I don’t think I loved it as much as Episode 1 though, it didn’t quite meet my expectations...

I think what bothered me the most is how the characters feel a bit too complete on their own? Like, they’re almost too artistic, to the point where they feel like personified ideas rather than actual people. It kinda makes me wonder where the story is going with them, especially the new characters…

But still, I’m curious enough to give Episode 3 a chance!!

This is my favourite scene from Episode 2 and it was great way to use the most iconic dialogue from the game!! Especially since when you play the game, this dialogue rather seems menacing but in the anime they made it seems so serene and calm! I really loved this part the most;;

just watched the first 7 minutes of the first episode of Needy Girl Overdose. everything about it was lackluster, and i would recommend that nobody watch it. direction, voice acting, animation— nothing comes together well enough for it to be an enjoyable/watchable experience.

if you want a good example of an extremely low budget anime that manages to be entertaining because of competent direction, then watch The Way of the Househusband. it's criticized for being a 'slide-show', but the whole show actually came together very nicely despite the lack of animation.

It is Monogatari Series but without lolis and much less text. So yes, one can't help but skip it.
