Adding a "dropped manga" filter. :maybe:

It would be nice to be able to filter manga in "All" releases and everywhere else on the main page (for example, the top 10 most read) depending on whether they are dropped or not.
I personally don't want to see dropped manga anywhere. they take up space and if I dropped them, there was a reason for it.

Similarly, I also think that there should be an "ignore" follow status (as in the follow dropdown) that does this but without actually showing up in the MDList. Its sole function would be to be able to activate a filter to simply not see that manga anymore. The point of this separate tag is because when you say you "dropped" a manga, that means you at least started reading it. The "ignore" status would be if you don't even want to read it after reading the synopsis or looking at the tags for it.

tl;dr:
One new follow status: "ignore".
Two new filters separate from the tag system: "dropped" and "ignore"

I wanted to suggest something similiar.
I would like it if the dropdown menu in "Follows - Latest Updates" had checkboxes so I could mark all those manga status which I want to receive updates from. For example I mark all except dropped and re-read and then I only get updates from manga which status is not one of those two.
Maybe something like this can be implemented cause right now I unfollow all dropped manga to avoid getting updates from them.

The two previous commenters seem to be using different senses of “drop”.

This is true. By default the Follows - Latest Updates only shows you updates from follows marked as "Reading"

I think he means he wants some sort of merged Follows - Latest Updates where for whatever reason he'll also see updates from things he's marked as like "Completed", "On Hold", or "Plan to Read" if he's configured it to do so.

EDIT: Also, rather than an "Ignored" status, I'd prefer just being able to personally curate what's on your MDList, rather than just have it show all your follows.

Okay but outside of that, I'd still like to set it so that my ignored mangas don't show up *anywhere*. whether that's in the folllows tab or outside of it.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention but Dropped mangas being hidden from updates feeds should def. be an option at least.
Sometimes I drop things due to mild mental trauma and really would like to not be reminded of them.

If MDList can be curated, then there just wouldn't have to be a difference between "Dropped" and "Ignored"

Oh. In kurox's defense maybe he was referring to the "Follows" tab on the main page's feed, which shows updates for all your followed series regardless of type? Honestly, the usability of the main page is so bad I try not to use it whenever possible, unless for some reason I need access to popular series/chapters or my reading history.

If you go to https://mangadex.org/follows/ you can choose in the dropdown list of "Latest updates" what it should show. I always use the setting "All" (also via https://mangadex.org/follows/chapters/0), so I get updates about manga I have currently On-Hold or Plan to read (if I want to wait for more chapters before starting the manga). But I also get updates of "Dropped" manga which I don't want.
That's mostly how I understood your text. Sorry if it was a bit misleading.
