Adding a system for groups to gauge interest in series :rejected:

Recently some groups have been asking people to leave a specific comment to gauge interest in continuing translating a project. While I don't mind people giving groups support for their work, it also completely and utterly drowns out any form of discussion. Personally I think a poll that can be temporarily added to the comment section for a week or two would be good at mitigating this encouragement of spam.

And before anyone mentions page views, ratings or general positivity in comments, I'm just saying this because it's been happening mostly over series that are being translated by multiple groups.

Why don't they just make a poll in the forums and leave a link on the series page?

Hopefully groups can figure out better ways to engage their audience than invite them to spam comment sections which we then have to clean up afterwards.

It's not our job to implement one, though.

I think if groups want to poll their readers they should create a strawpoll or something. Then they can leave the link for it on their own group page and on a credit page for the chapter.
