Agott/Agete in Witch Hat Atelier

In the English translation I am reading, one of the main characters is named Agete. Everywhere else I have found, the character is named Agott, or Agathe. Is there a story behind that, aside from that a translator decided to translate it that way?

There's multiple group that translate the series, the official use agott, as for agete iirc it's translation from spanish language, and for agathe/agate it was direct translation.

Thanks. So far, I have found one page where it's Agott in the translation I am using.

Google tells me to translate Agete from Japanese as Lift it up...
