Some interesting paths opened up after todays chapter. What if the "whore" is not her, but instead, her mother? Basically:
  • Rika's the child of an adultery case;
  • When her father found out, he abandoned both her and her mother;
  • Without a proper income, her mother started whoring herself to pay the bills;
  • The main target/public of whores are married man;
  • Rika eventually starts to whore herself in high school( she needed money for herself, and at school age...there's a "market" for these things in Japan, even if denied);
  • She advances towards Social Media( funningly, while not stating in which year the story occurs, Shingo's backstory makes me think Social media was a little more advanced then by what i believe would be chronologically accurate if it happened noawadays-2025);
  • Her bussiness grows into more than just physical sex, but also content creator for this kind of thing.
  • She somewhat becomes compromised, and her image, whle not all, is partially stained;
  • She doesn't know how to proceed, and that's when she meets Sousuke again;
  • She marries him in order to promote an image cleaning and get rid of any suspects towards her;
  • She has Shiho to babytrap Sousuke and keep up appearances;
  • Steadily, but surely, she regains her bussiness and now upgrades it with Advisory;
  • Thanks to Sousuke, it's not over to her and her bussiness.

As for her Libido: i was talking with @UROD-PC about the issue with Lust. While it is more fixed as a sexual thing, it can mean a strong craving, longing for something. For example: Shingo's craving is way less about sex and more about attention. Rika's could be she receives pleasure from not only sex, but rather from seeing people self-destruct along their loved ones, because they're consumed by lust. Maybe from trauma about what happened to her mom and/or whoring in her life( regardless of the timeline i used)?
In my opinion, the information in the new arc fits too neatly into the most expected theory - or even several theories - about the reasons behind Rika’s behavior.
If we take everything the sisters said about the Miyase family at face value, then the most obvious explanation is that she’s simply repeating one of her parents’ patterns due to childhood trauma, which sounds extremely dull and bland to me.

As for the origin of these rumors - given the manga’s theme, namely “dirty” online activity - it’s possible that the family, or one of its members, was involved in producing questionable content or took part in borderline-moral photo shoots. (It might have even involved coercion of minors.)
This seems realistic considering the moral climate of a rural community; you don’t need to literally fall into filth to earn a “mark of depravity” - a small pretext is enough for such rumors.
And it would be strange to expect any significant profitability in such a small settlement; if someone was “selling their body,” I doubt it happened here.

The vagueness of the rumors themselves and the sisters’ lack of prior interest in them is also odd, especially given that Misato knows who Sosuke’s wife is.

This is particularly unengaging from the detective perspective. For dozens of chapters, Sosuke was obsessed with finding any solid “evidence,” and now we’re once again forced to take the word of two people - one he hasn’t seen since childhood and the other he doesn’t know at all.
And the younger sister’s behavior is hardly trustworthy either: while on her own turf, she plans to have sex with a married man, even though just a few pages earlier she was tarnishing the reputation of his lawful wife - the wife of a man her older sister clearly has feelings for.
And all of this happens precisely when Sosuke is unable to verify the information with third parties, making it look very much like a deliberate attempt to hurt him and then “comfort” him afterward.
This certainly doesn’t add any credibility to her as a source of information about Rika.

Sosuke is locked in the same room with them, far from other homes; the tension and intrigue, in my view, are only increasing, and the main twist hasn’t happened yet.
We can only wait to see whether Misato’s claims will be confirmed by third parties (questioning other residents, especially the Miyase family’s neighbors, and confirming that the house really belonged to them) - which, in my opinion, is the key point at this stage.
And I think it’s obvious that Sosuke will refuse to sleep with her; it would be completely pointless given his deep respect for the much-beloved Akiba.

I can't endorse a proper theory, unless it has become crystal clear. I've been in a lot o problems regarding this through recent years. My main issue is that: people have been launching a lot of conjecture by the day. Some WILL, inadvertedly, hit next to the story. But the frustration comes not only because of it, but from people who project too hard on MC and expect them to follow their wits. When that doesn't happen, it becomes wrongly critisized. Also, as the manga showed us again and again, let's not take the sisters story at face value, it's going to be something( generally worse) else.

We don't really need to add a full digital version of the facts, as of now. Also, i urge you to not underestimate small settlements. True, there's not even a hotel nearby, but as i have a great chunk of my family leaving in a small town...you wouldn't believe the amount of problems that can hide there( and yes, specially adulterous sex AND children born from affairs. Whores were not uncommon, however, they wouldn't be too much into light, as the married man never revealed their affairs). It could also be she travelled to nearby towns in exchange for bigger sums, leaving Rika, her daughter, alone for some time.

Sadly, not entirely uncommon. I've been through it, and i think you did too. Rumors started by an older generation tend to preserve the name, but not always it's story. The something alley? the cursed bench? The clown who chases kids at night? All these rumors can be said to the young generation, but their origins differing from account to account is not uncommon. I think Satsuki really just didn't want to risk just exposing her version.

I'd argue Satsuki probably had sex with married man before( country girl meeting city guy? Kinda trope). It's just to accentuate the differences between sisters( from a reader POV) and give us a little bit of Sousuke's tribulations( characters POV). But there's one thing i'd believe you would have pondered about: Sousuke's erection. Bizarre, right? But remember that he couldn't get it hard with Kamizaki's wife suring Shiratori's arc? Will he be able to with Satsuki? Because that would signal more than just a tease: it's his conviction breaking and him starting to get over Rika. But...let's wait until next week.

Let's wait for the next chapters. The story arcs tend to follow some chapters that really seems meaningless, or worth less than overall, and then hit us with some good ones later. My belief is still that, even if the execution isn't too good, this arc will be Sousuke's positive character development arc. He will break his lie about reaching Rika and then see the world for what it is, thus becoming a better character.

Hmm good analysis 👍 👍
But rika's mom at that time would be 38-40 years old right

I agree with your logical arguments.

But I’d like to clarify my motivation regarding my theories. I deliberately try to give more meaning to my “suspicions” about the oddities in the plot so that waiting for new chapters feels more exciting. Although, to be honest, I’ve always leaned toward a theory about Rika and her past that’s essentially the same as yours - details may differ, but the core idea is the same.

If we expand a bit on your main idea about the elder Miyase mother’s infidelity, considering that we don’t know the number of members in the Miyase and Yamada families, nor the exact biological relationships - even for Sosuke (and as we see, Sosuke rarely even visits his own family) - and I also don’t recall any explanation for why Sosuke’s family moved as well, we can assume even the most far-fetched version. Namely: that Sosuke and Rika might be related through the same father from an extramarital affair, or that Rika is actually an adopted daughter taken from an orphanage. This would give the writer a tool to hide people connected to her outside of her “family” or school in the most unexpected way.

We also know from the freelancer and his wife’s accounts that Rika had a perfect reputation during her student years. This further supports your idea that if any information about her inappropriate behavior or about members of her family ever surfaced, it never went beyond the rural area - at least it never reached her new circle of friends and those close to her in college.

Of course, we’re waiting to see how things develop. If the facts increasingly point toward this theory, the readers’ interest may start to fade, because the author would essentially remove from the main intrigue the possibility of Rika being forgiven (considering the mentality of the Japanese audience).

Chapter 3
COUPLE WHO GOT ARRESTED WERE MAKING MORE THAN TWO MILLION A MONTH
I think Rika who got arrested
Undoubtedly, this manga contains many convenient coincidences. However, I believe that the element introduced in the third chapter serves to provide context regarding Momonga’s potential channel earnings, as well as to inform readers that this type of activity is subject to criminal liability.
That said, we also shouldn’t rule out the possibility that the individuals involved might be Rika herself or her relatives, which would be a convenient narrative device for a manga.
At present, though, the information is extremely fragmented and not particularly trustworthy.

Hi, thanks for the reply.

Yes, all three paths have the potential to serve as the basis for the finale.

But it seems to me that, judging by the current arc, the essence will be that the story is not about adultery itself, but about Sousuke realizing that from the very beginning he loved and cherished not Rika, but her mask - and the author partially plays on this idea.
The fear that the smile you see every morning is not part of reality, but the same as watching a TV drama or a video on a secret account.
The realization that his wife never truly existed. In the end, he will practically experience the pain of losing a loved one, as if she had actually died.

Of course, in NTR stories there is always room for deception and lies - at the very least to hide the “crime.”
But in this story it is not just the cover for a fleeting affair.
Here, this deception is the very core of his personal tragedy and, in my opinion, the main meaning of the work.
Their entire marriage and their “love” appears false from the start and in fact exists only through his eyes.

That’s why, I think, the author made Sousuke so blind and so unaware of his own wife - to reveal her true face to us anew through the protagonist’s perspective.

And in the end, after he comes to this realization - will Sousuke be able to understand and love the person named Rika Miyase?
Is he ready to give another ten years of his life for that?
That is indeed a very difficult question.

Setting that aside, there is another thing that bothers me.

In the Shiratori storyline, there is the scene with the rabbit lock-screen image on the phones of everyone involved.
As I understand it, the image set as the home-screen wallpaper is used to identify those participating in the scheme of receiving “recommendations” through filming those disgusting videos with Shiratori. And as it’s stated after the scene with the banker, they only change the wallpaper after payment.
So why did Rika set it?

Shiratori claimed he met Rika three times, had no sexual contact with her, and their interaction was purely consultative. Because of this, I don’t understand the meaning of the scene with that image on Rika’s phone.
The only explanation I could think of is that on the day of the sports festival Rika planned to involve Shingo Mori in this disgusting act and force him to film her sexual encounter with Shiratori - knowing that Shingo is madly in love with her - and thus break him as well and completely dominate him.
But since Sousuke intervened that day, she couldn’t carry it out.

But it’s also quite possible that all of this will end up having no explanation at all, and that moment existed merely to fuel the protagonist’s suspicions and his jealousy toward the banker.
Hi!
The first is an interesting point! And yes, i believe it ties with the positive character development of Sousuke in this arc, how he will break his lie that he could reach Rika. Reach as more than just "talk", but rather "understand" her in all senses.

As for the Bunny logo of Shiratori...i've been thinking...what if it's not just a payment symbol, but rather, a bussiness mark? He sends his mark towards his victims, and Rika gets hers because of her advisory towards him?

For instance,
Bunnys can breed with a lot of different females, and sex doesn't need the female to be in heat to occur. I take that it symbolizes Shiratori's bussiness of having sex with multiple women, regardless of they wanting, but being put into that situation.
Momongas are the japanese flying squirrel. While the giant variety is monogamous, the dwarf variety is know to be more promiscuous, whith breeding and sex happening across different partners( male and female) that formed a love nest. Probably how Sousuke and Mitsuri are faithful, while Shingo and Rika aren't.

We would need more examples on that, but...it would work as a way for Rika to separate and belittle her clients in tone of sort( but not directly to them).

Another cuck author. The sensible thing to do here would be to show the sluts adultery account to their
Parents and divorce her town bicycle ass. A woman like this is not worth your time and energy to go down a rabbit hole. She belongs in the streets.

That's the thing: as the story goes, it becomes clear that adultery is the least problematic thing here. She's way worse and has way more countermeasures than you can expect her to. A simple divorce and/or exposition is not going to cut it anytime soon...

Hi.

I agree that the imagery might be only a part of the internal symbolism.
But at the moment, everything related to the rabbit is exclusively tied to its functional role in Shiratori’s scheme - we haven’t been shown anything beyond that.
That’s why I started wondering what it all means and whether this element will be developed further in the future.

Good afternoon everyone. What do we know about Rika at the moment?
Misato and Rika went to school together in their town. Rika and Soske went to high school. After school, Rika attended the same course at the university with Matsuo, but she is one year younger than him. Matsuo is a graphic designer, it turns out that Rika is also a designer.
While Rika was studying at the university, something happened that her family had to leave her hometown. In the same period of time, her house began to be called a "bothel house". After studying at the university, Rika meets Soska and marries him. In all the family photos she uploads to social networks, she hides the faces of the whole family.
Rika didn't want Sosuke and her family to meet. Here the question arises, did she hide Soska from her family or vice versa?
Also knowing that Rika is a graphic designer, she could easily edit the video by substituting her face. You will ask why does Ricke compromise himself? It's quite simple, Rika wants to provoke Soska to cheat. Probably only someone from her family cheated, which destroyed her family. She found out about it while studying at the university, which traumatised her. So she decided to check on her husband...

Hi!
To clarify some things:
1 - Matsuo is not a "Graphical Designer", he's a "Web Designer". They're different branches of bussiness. Sure, he can work with images, but the tools and and workbench for him are different. His treatment with images are regarding wireframes and UI/UX. To that end, treating images with Photoshop/Illustrator and similar tools would be near useless to him;
2 - It was never stated that Rika was a graphic designer either. Only that she worked with Social media and content creation/advisory;
3 - Matsuo is 39. Rika is 31;
4 - It was never stated, not even by Satsuki, WHEN they began calling it "Whore's house". She said it was know as that 10 years ago, before the buying, but WHEN did it start, we don't know. We can't also put Rika out of the picture in this scenario, saying it started AFTER she was out of the house. And also, the term "baido", used here, literally means "whore", it was not a brothel, simply the house of some woman( or women) who sold herself( or themselves);

Good points:
1 - She hides her face in her pictures of social media. This can be easily attributed to her trying to protect Shiho's face( it's a security measure not talked much by some parents nowadays, sadly). And yeah, it can also be used to hide her;
2 - True, while she works on social medial, there's no guarantee she isn't well versed in some photo and video edition tools;
3 - Also a good point: we're all assuming she's trying to hide her past and family( her backstory) from Sousuke...and we didn't think how much of the contrary is true, too!
4 - We all see it as she wanting Sousuke to cheat, one way or the other. "Why", varies form people to people. But by trauma, as stated by @UROD-PC , is rather bland and cheap, but not discardable;

Questionable:
1 - While fairly possible that someone from her family cheated and destroyed the entire household, there's no way we can assume it was during her college years. Until told us otherwise, it could have happened during her high school days or even earlier. We're not taking her out of the picture as a saint or correct person here;
2 - Shingo already confirmed the sex videos in the SD card were his and hers. Also, raw videos, no editing. Shingo kept the card to himself at all times( due to Mitsuri's distrust on him and Tsubasa's use of his phone). So no, Rika did not get the card or edited the videos. You could have said that she used a body double( whithout Shingo noticing) and applied make-up and the fake moles, to preserve fidelity. As she was using a mask, it could've been believable. Pratical effects are way more believable than her using edition, at this point.

1. When Sosuke interrogates Matsuo (chapter 9), Matsuo says that he and Rika studied at the same university and on the same course. There he says that Rika is a year younger than him at the university.
2. Singo didn't mention that he had sex with Rika. He said that: sex videos of "this man" have become incredibly popular, and the number of views is unstoppable.
3. We don't know who kept the map all the time, Rika could have handed it over before the plan started. Suppose that the card was kept by Shingo, then he could easily record a video on it with Rika's face open. Singo could not say that it is Soske who is watching them. Then it explains why Rika left a card with Singo's practice, she was angry with him.

2 - It was never stated that Rika was a graphic designer either. Only that she worked with Social media and content creation/advisory;
3 - Matsuo is 39. Rika is 31;
4 - It was never stated, not even by Satsuki, WHEN they began calling it "Whore's house". She said it was know as that 10 years ago, before the buying, but WHEN did it start, we don't know. We can't also put Rika out of the picture in this scenario, saying it started AFTER she was out of the house. And also, the term "baido", used here, literally means "whore", it was not a brothel, simply the house of some woman( or women) who sold herself( or themselves);

Good points:
1 - She hides her face in her pictures of social media. This can be easily attributed to her trying to protect Shiho's face( it's a security measure not talked much by some parents nowadays, sadly). And yeah, it can also be used to hide her;
2 - True, while she works on social medial, there's no guarantee she isn't well versed in some photo and video edition tools;
3 - Also a good point: we're all assuming she's trying to hide her past and family( her backstory) from Sousuke...and we didn't think how much of the contrary is true, too!
4 - We all see it as she wanting Sousuke to cheat, one way or the other. "Why", varies form people to people. But by trauma, as stated by @UROD-PC , is rather bland and cheap, but not discardable;

Questionable:
1 - While fairly possible that someone from her family cheated and destroyed the entire household, there's no way we can assume it was during her college years. Until told us otherwise, it could have happened during her high school days or even earlier. We're not taking her out of the picture as a saint or correct person here;
2 - Shingo already confirmed the sex videos in the SD card were his and hers.
The only thing that’s unsettling in this situation is the lack of detail in Shingo Mori’s story - we’re shown only Shingo’s internal monologue.
The protagonist practically never talked to him about it, which is very strange.

There was also no interrogation of Shingo (at least, it wasn’t shown to us).
Since Rika was more genuine with him than with her own husband, he could have at least learned what they talked about besides filming content. Maybe she mentioned other people, or her dreams, or her general outlook on life - anything that could have helped Sosuke defeat her or at least find her.

But for some reason this entire dialogue was removed from the plot for now.
Maybe it will return later in the form of flashbacks.

1 - He said they studied in the same university, and at the time, she was his Kouhai/junior by a year. There was no mention that they went through the same course. Not uncommon, regardless of apprenticeship( kouhai is tied to hierarchy in more than one stance). Even if they were on the same course, though...Matsuo is still a web designer, which differs severily from a graphical one;
2 - True, but as of now, it's easier to put it into the questionable than in the negation zone;
3 - We were told through Shingo that he kept the card to himself at all times, due to Mitsuri and Tsubasa. He didn't know who was watching them, but proved out it was Sousuke. Mitsuri also said she cheked her house to see if Shingo was hiding any evidence of affair( computer even). So yeah, it was with Shingo, and he could ONLY have done the editions in a computer not from home, and since we haven't saw any with him yet...no editing to be proven.

Again: you could have said that the initial and "post" sex scenes with Rika were her, but the act itself was with a body double. Practical effects. But you're trying too hard to save her face from even kissing and doing a nude scene, if said scenario was true.

Ch 65 dropped. Some obvious things happened... also, sorry, the translator really didn't help in some parts.
  • Continuation of the scene, with Satsuki seducing Sousuke;
  • She goes too hard, and eventually wakes up Misato, who lectures her until sleep;
  • Next day, Misato and Sousuke decide to look for some clues about Rika's house;
  • When walking, Sousuke apologizes for the incident, but Misato reassures him, by saying that Satsuki really has that forceful nature;
  • Misato also says to Sousuke that, in truth, he's there to search for clues about Rika, and how their marriage is falling;
  • She deduces that, if he came searching for her parents house, which she haven't told him about, that Rika was addicted to social media, and then suddenly dissapeared during a trip, means their marriage fell apart abruptaly;
  • And if that happened, for Sousuke to not feel bad/discomfort about his feelings towards this whole ordeal, not for Satsuki, but for her( Misato).(Definetly lost my translations beat in this part);
  • Sousuke understands her points are valid, but asks her how did she know that Rika vanished during a trip;
  • Her answer is simply that she saw something on social media, but Rika must have erased it later;
  • In the trailer, Satsuki wakes up scared about another lecture from her sister, but it's simple Misato's phone ringing, which she must have forgotten to take with her;
  • The caller is "Miyase Rika";
  • Sousuke asks himself if he really did not see Rika's clues in Social media, but accepts this must be the case.
  • Chapter ends with Misato giving us a cold look;

Important spots:
  • Sousuke couldn't get hard...but this time, he was thinking about Akiba-sensei, instead of Rika;
  • Misato definetly knows more than she shows;
  • Misato definetly has some hidden agenda, knowing full well that Sousuke is married, but keeping Rika's old surname in her smartphone contacts;

I told you this misato girl is in cahoots with rika to trap sousukue for herself.Sinho is also an ally of rika, giving info about sousukue to her secretly.How did sinho know that sousukue will be gone for 1 week and why she only urged sousukue to go look for Rika now,not before?Rika probably advise her to do that since the reunion is coming.
Now this misato girl could have sat anywhere but she chose to sit beside sousukue and why did she come 3 days early when it will not take one day to come.How did she know that rika vanished during the trip? She is definitely trying to fool sousukue and wants him to become hers.
I think satsuki will be the real ally of sousukue and expose her sister.

And you were absolutely right! I also agree with the Shiho point, maybe Rika pulled her by saying something like "playing pretend"? I also had this thought that, maybe, Rika asked Shiho and Tsubasa to keep an eye on who was gonna steal Shingo's bag, and tell them both, by doing something similar.
And yeah, also agree with the Misato points, her red flags really became bigger after today's chapter.
