late to the party here, but yes and no. MC is also to blame here. one simple sentence by him would have changed a lot of things this chapter is not in future chapters. "why did you choose him over me if you're coming on to me like this?" personally i'd have also called her a dumbass too. but that's just my hoe repellent talkin'.
