The chapter picks up right where the last one left off, with Riku and Shizuku meeting again. Shocked to see him, Shizuku calls Takt and demands to know why Riku is there and what it means. Takt tells her he’s just trying to make things right, that it’s the least he can do, and that she shouldn’t regret anything. He adds that this might be the last time, so she should do what she needs to do.
When Shizuku turns back to Riku, she asks why he came. She says she had already given up, but seeing him again makes giving up impossible. She hugs him, and Riku apologizes for smelling a bit. Shizuku admits he does, and Riku explains it’s because he came all the way there by bicycle and didn’t shower. She then invites him to her house.
After Riku showers and changes into Shizuku’s father’s clothes, Shizuku goes to wash his. Left alone in her room, Riku talks to himself, saying he didn’t expect to end up there. He decides that when she comes back, he’ll tell her everything he feels and that he doesn’t want to have any regrets. Sitting on the floor, he falls asleep before she returns.
When Riku wakes up, Shizuku is sitting beside him, reading a book. He apologizes for falling asleep, but she says it’s fine since he must be tired. Riku asks if she wants to go somewhere or do something, but she says she just wants to read that book with him. After a while, she mentions that reading like this reminds her of when they used to do it as kids, and how much she enjoyed it. Riku says he liked it too, though not as much because he struggled with reading, but what he really liked was spending time with her. He tells her that he’s always liked being with her and that’s why he’s there. Shizuku says she feels the same way. They kiss, confess their love for each other, and the chapter ends with an implication that they will finally have sex.
Insight:
Not much to say, but the author better deliver the hottest sex scene ever drawn in human history next chapter. After that bullshit dream where Riku imagined Shizuku getting railed by that sex predator, the author owes us and can’t afford to disappoint.
