Dude... This guy's just troll baiting people like you for replies. The reality is either he doesn't give a shit about this manga or any of our opinions and just likes riling people up or he actually likes the manga and still likes riling people up.

I feel like this is pretty inaccurate. People have been saying variations of this for a while, but it's just wrong. Some people would swear on their mother that Hiro would never go past subtext, but now that we're here, there's a shifting of the goalpost. Why would he drag it out unnecessarily? He's never done that with anything before.
Besides, this is a sol story with a romance subplot but you people saw Yuri and forgot that aspect and that's why people complain when he switches over to like Mai and Hebimori even tho they've been integral to the overall plot line of this arc since like chapter 50.
You people forget that this isn't Akebi Ericka love arc but that their romance is a subplot within a larger arc (about the festival), one that is moving at an appropriate pace (granted the breaks and scan issues probably make it feel like it's even longer) but these type of statements are kinda annoying icl. Feels like making up something to complain about just for the sake of complaining. Legit, no different from the one guy who refuses to believe this is a yuri story.

I feel like commiserating over the wait time involved with serialized stories is super normal and present in almost every community. Acting like Akebi is above playful criticism after a single date has been happening for 6+ months is a bit silly.

Like, Berserk is a modern masterpiece and people meme'd about a boat for a decade.
