I still think its a very questionable storytelling decision to skip the festival performance, unless we're getting a flashback later. But the rhythm of this story has always been idiosyncratic, sometimes it works very well, sometimes not so much. Love the cute archery yuri side couple, Manza better stay away from Akebi! Or at least give Erika some motivation to finally ask Akebi to be her girlfriend.

Don't get me wrong, I love this manga and don't have a problem with nonlinear or slow storytelling. I like the wandering painterly rhythm of the story when it works, which is most of the time. Its just frustrating to see all this buildup to the performance and then see how it influenced the school after but not actually see the performance, especially when the other chapters featuring performances are some of the best in the whole manga. Maybe we'll see it in later chapters, but if not it feels like a missed opportunity.

This. Literally this. Let's put aside the endless debates we've all had about the etiquette about sniping, the morality of scanlating to begin with, etc, and just skip to the objective end result that comes about from situations like this; a well established group that is consistently putting out high quality releases gets sniped, loses interest in the series because of the snipe, followed by the sniper also dropping it leaving the community with nobody left working on it.

It's the same pattern. Every. Single. Time. We've all seen it so many times not just in the yuri scene, but in the manga scene as a whole. Hell, it's even happened to this series itself before! So please, before you or anyone else reading this snipes a series, please ask yourself if you truly think you're committed to matching or exceeding the current quality level, and matching or exceeding the dedication and longevity of the current group. If you cannot confidently say yes to both, what you are doing is objectively a net negative for the community as a whole. Doing nothing would be preferable, or even better, pick up one of the countless other works that people have been praying for someone to translate.
