you can indeed replace some of the milk in recipes with sour cream. I've been told that it makes things less sweet but it seems like more trouble than it's worth tbh.Is the recipe correct? It feels wrong to put sour cream in ice cream...
that note about ice cream being easy to make with a ziploc bag is SUCH a lie 😭 i had to make ice cream with a ziploc bag for a middle school chemistry experiment and i failed all 3 runs
yeah i did the whole experiment at home since it was due over the week and we just had to submit a lab writeup + take pictures of us doing the experiment. i left the ice cream in there for a whiiiile, it must've been 2 nights i left it in the freezer? i took it out and it all melted in like half a second. maybe part of it was that i lived in florida, but our regular ice cream never melted that fast...It’d prolly work with liquid nitrogen but no American school I went to would’ve let us

Also vaguely remember doing that but it’s not as if the science teacher gave us over night coolers so the few ppl that did “eat” theirs vs tossing it had just sweet cold cream to drink before lunch haha
But yeah these days would’ve been easier to have modern tools, maybe popsicle molds would’ve worked for fruit ones but it’d still take a while to fully freeze
