She's safe now, but if she's getting married, I'll drop because 100% sure this author loves USAGI DROP.
My man has been scared for life by Usagi Drop.
Not that I blame you, I just wanted more Daughter-Father stuff too.

For me Nidaime (Genshiken's follow up) is probably what UD is for you.

MC is going to end up soloing the church, the holy empire and a yet to be named demon lord to protect his children. Although if the hero finds out his friends from his orphanage were harmed by the church he may be willing to take down the holy empire as well.

Fucking up is understating the gravity of Grey's action tho. And he does all this completely unaware that he already ruin the game's starting point and Isuka's motivation in the no longer canon OG timeline

Gonna say tho, Isuka's drip in Luminous is actually great and I hoped he will don it, but for a whole other reason (you can see it on the vol2 extra content teaser)
Yes and no. At least how I see it.

We don't know how strong Isuka's motivations are right now, tho the LN does allude that he still strongly wishes to be an adventurer. So he might not be the protagonist that soon, it all depends what happens to Gray along the way..

Though yea, the OG has been drastically changed, some sort of causality still hits. Isuka, in the game/OG timeline, wipes the church clean. Gray does pretty much that but differently. He weakens the church so hard by losing the Hero (Ares), not getting control of the saintess, and basically cutting off their external hold by wiping their spies and adjacent high ranking clerigymen. The whole "bad church gets overthrown and reformed" is caused by Gray, which would've likely happened if Isuka was the MC.

The way I see it is: Isuka is still held down by causality, and what triggers that is the death of someone important to him. Gray took that spot and he'll likely be the one that dies protecting him and the kids. From then on, he'll keep the torch as MC. BUT hopefully this happens without him losing the other members.

“Really wholesome surrogate family story path” untill it goes the Usagi Drop and if its for my daughter I would even defeat the Demon Lord route of having him marry one of the daughters…
The LN implies that this is not the case. I did a short re-read of the Ariamel/Gray moments and it all points out that no UD is gonna happen. In fact, it all points that Gray and Emilia could hit it off sometime later but not soon because Gray is too focused on keeping the kids (his family) safe.

I could go on and on as to why I'm choosing to die on the "this is NOT (and better not) turn into jap step-family incest fetish that mangakas like to insert on their otherwise solid manga" hill but i'd be doing some heavy spoilers.

Actually speaking of LN, it appears the author has dropped/suspended the WN to focus on the LN? He hasn't updated the WN since ch98, and there was a huge gap between ch 94 and ch95. Anyone who knows moonspeak can confirm if this is the case?
New LN chap just dropped. Publications are erratic so there's a chance this might be the case.

We can hope, but japanese authors for some reason cant write stories about a dad/daughter without introducing incest between them…

These authors really went that far. They do not beat the allegations too.

The "what if" scenario rape was super unnecessary, like Jesus Christ man, that scum raped a 12 year old girl.. I didn't want to read such a scene...
