Just reread the series and I am hoping that Ariel will end up with the Hero. As from the flashbacks to the original story of the game, the family was enslaved and sold by the church. Only for them to try to get Ariel to be the saint but it backfires and they kill her while the Hero was there. So the protagonist after some time goes on revenge campaign where he also kills the Hero.

But thanks to Dad of the Year no one got enslaved. And I can see how the news can be bad regarding the Hero friends so stays permanently with them.
