It's been a while since I've read this, but this is the first time we've seen that the principle is evil right? Also the king is oddly chill considering Chris was made into a underground gladiator and is now just around.
I assumed Reina will be the next girl that will be added to Auger’s ever growing harem but that last page changed that idea. Still believe he’ll unintentionally save Reina even if her “specs” don’t match his tastes. Thanks for the translations.
Hum, I am a bit conflicted about this new girl at the end. Her hair is reminiscent of the classic drills, but she seems to have not fully committed to the hair drill part. I suppose, in a way, the pseudo-drills are fitting for a pseudo-villain's harem.
Normally harem series are kinda shit. But when the whole goal is to build the harem it becomes different. The goal is to collect them all, but doing it the way he is through ironic villainous actions makes it fun.
I was wondering what the king would be like after seeing how his son turned out and also learning about what happened to the knight girl. But now I see the exact reason for those, while the king seems to be a “kind” person with good intentions on stuff, he’s absolutely horrendous on the follow up on the choices he made.
You can't even call it "failing upwards" at this point, he means to do everything that he's doing, he's just too stupid to realize how helpful he's being lmao

I know you don't know, so as one of the novel readers, I can just say that her situation is HEAVY (all in upper case).
After finding out about what she went through and what was done to her, it's hard to even consider jokes about Reina's situation.
----------------
Regarding the King and Chris/Alice's situation, it's more like the King can't really think of all the details about a single person, plus, an underground coliseum is not something that normal society would be aware of.
It's like this: outlaws are like, outside the law
The King may have had good intentions, but it's not like he was following her entire situation 100% of the time, Chris also wasn't a direct subordinate of his, nor was she something of an irreplaceable person. She happened to be accused of something she didn't do, and there was no way of keeping stability if he decided to condemn the noble just because of Chris' words. There was no proof either to help her.
The school director is indirectly related to Chris' downfall.
Not directly, indirectly.
She had nothing against Chris, she likely only knew her as a strong knight captain of this noble family vaguely acquainted with her and nothing else.
Thank you for the new chapter!
The translation for volume 3 for the light novel has just been completed as well, I just made an audiobook for it a few days ago.
Here is the playlist for everyone who was following them:
P.S.: Beach episode with more Boob size revelations in vol 3 xD
Next girl is probably blonde drill hair since she looks to much like a typical villainess. Is it the principal's goal to steal his anti-magic or to force a connection with him since he seems to be gaining political power?
