I really hope that shitty ex fiancé and his mistress get serious comeuppance. I really hate how Char’s good name is being dragged through the mud, all cus two adulterers and the side whipped bastards couldn’t get away with cheating without legitimate cause from the other party.

If anyone knows any spoilers concerning the deal, plz let me know

Yes, it's all the fault of the magicless/powerless guys trying their best to protect something with everything against them. Of course the overpowered MC is always right, why are you asking?
Are we reading the same series?

I thought it was already established that the mc is specifically acting as a villain to drive down his popularity and to make his brother look like a better option for the kingdom due to people being prejudiced against him and that this was a dumb idea of his due to multiple factors and that he says alot of lies to make himself the villain so he likely isn't actually blaming them genuinely but is doing it to project hatred towards himself.

In this chapter it even goes over that it's not the fault of the powerless people trying their best but due to their intrinsic values of pride in being knights and shown to be from grief, stress, and the misinformation that has been spread about the FL.

It doesn't make the knights blameless though.

TLDR: knights are wrong mc has been shown to be wrong and this is further proof that his chosen path is wrong atm as his brother isn't up to kingship and the kingdom isn't in a good enough state to coast and none of this has to do with who is powerless or overpowered as both are trying their best to protect something.

Tbf for those dumb knights, this is one of consequence of Al's "Villain Act" backfiring, thanks to him putting all the blame that supposed to be on his dumb brother, and Royal Family onto himself (and Char's false accusation not cleared), most people get into belief that it's all Al's fault.

And for this case, Knights blame the lack of manpower on Char, cause "They have to protect this fragile crown prince's lover" something that to this point, we could say it's Leon's fault again, but because of Al's action, and how the new "rumor it's all Al's fault" isn't that spread yet, Char is still being blamed.

Hopefully, this Knight blaming Char incident would start making Al realize his mistakes.

I get that they’re mad and all but that knight actually hit one of the princes of the kingdom. Like does that not warrant some kind of punishment, even if light since it’s the “villainous” prince.
I just know that if this was a Korean or Chinese series, this mf's head and his entire family's would be rolling in the ground by now.

Ah yes, an issue of people being idiots.

Knights think the issue is on the side of nobility (and Char cuz "them need to guard commoner now, so no bully"). Without realizing that their "preferred master" (Leo) failed to show up, or do anything in timely manner.
Captain knight, realizing that 3rd prince is fucking good at fighting those behemoths. Why? Well, maybe 3rd prince fought fuckload of them?
Alfread, because his own "villain play" tanked his respectability that even Royal Knights would toss a stone at him (or his future wife) even AFTER they were saved by him...
And Char, cuz she is there q.q
