I find the "John Luca" kinda weird.

First, the inconsistent spell for this name. Cain call this character "John Luca" but at the end of the chapter I read "John Luca". I assumed this was the same person as "John Luca".

At second, "John" then followed by "Luke" or "Luca" is not smooth to pronounce. I lost track of the plot because I tried to find if the character's name was "John" or "Luke"

The logic of this nation really threw me for a loop. A mage in the past lost control and hurt people, so all mages must be incompetent and sealed...

I can only see horrible consequences resulting from such a law. Not just discrimination, but also anger of persecution and overall nationwide loss of magical knowledge and control.

Sure regulations and training are needed, but just locking the ignorant in there own bodies doesn't resolve anything.

Sounds like the mage is of high nobility and was used for political crap. said mage probably was just a normal noble who is good with magic but used as a scapegoat.

But I'm probably stretching it out here with nothing but speculation.

Also this nation will lose horribly in a war against a country where magic is thriving xD
