I hope they end this before they grow up, despite the narrative demanding that they grow up eventually.

It's just my subjective opinion, but I feel like the story somewhat failed in depicting the king & queen's relationship with Prince Al. I don't get the feeling they truly are too busy to spend a little bit of time with him, rather it most of the time feels like they are doing it on purpose for some mysterious reason. The only thing speaking against that in this chapter was the butler/secretary's remark that the king eating breakfast wrecked his schedule for the day. Honestly, if the king doesn't even have time for a breakfast with his family, the butler/secretary utterly sucks at designing the schedule. The king should hire another person to rationalise his daily activities and leave the current butler/secretary to handle other things.

Yeah I the butler's reaction was pretty sus when the king decided to start spending time with AL,same as the maid who gave AL the idea of marrying Diana.

It also shows that he has terrible underlings working for him. No ministers or proper right hand man as well. Cain should have looked in to that too. Dude literally soloing governance

The manga failed to portray it. Indeed. The novel did it better, but not by much.
