It's weird. Sometimes I'm indifferent or annoyed by mother hens, while other times they're very funny and the best part of the story. I wonder what the difference is?

this was just plan silly but not as bad as most of vol 8, so at least vol 9 is a good mostly good one.

Personally I think volume 9 was the weakest in a while. As for volume 8 it was the most part enjoyable with the 3rd being a bit so-so.

I especially loved the 8th volume’s I’m the heroine’s daughter but I became the villainess and the goddess wants me to do it.

As for this vol, only the first was really good. Most of the others have been rushed and a bit bland.

If I had to describe this chapter, it's not the cold drink of water when you're thirsty, it's the room temperature water you drink after you've used the wrong faucet and had some just-a-bit-too-warm water.

This one has potential but it could easily become shitty over time if put in the wrong hands. A comedy about Alexis trying to not only gain the throne but Ira’s romantic love and affection while contending with his idiot brother who acts more like a rambunctious troublemaking child than a prince and an isekaied girl who acts like she understands the world but clearly has no idea how things actually work so everyone just treats her like she’s odd. Perhaps Richard does actually love Ira but she only sees him as a child she has to take care of so he acts out only to realize too late that he’s ruined any hope of an actual relationship with her. Maybe different characters pop up with different ideas on how things are supposed to work. One character was reincarnated, one remembered their past life, one was sent to the past and all are causing problems for Alexis’s love life. That could be really funny if handled correctly.

It's somewhat rare, some but series has the twist that the game/novel 'source material' the reincarnator relied on being an actual fiction that doesn't align with the 'real world' that happens to share similarities.
For example

In "Villainess Who Was VRMMO Player" she is told by notGod that the world of her game isn't real, but there IS a world it's based on.

Basically the game creator got vision dreams of that world and went on to create the game based on the bits and pieces they remember.

Alternatively the mother in the flashback was actually reincarnated and change the route long ago by raising her well.

I like this one a bit, I don't know if it has legs for a full blown series. Airhead villainess might work better if some of the bullying was accidentally real, more like how she called out her outdated dress and didn't mean it as an insult could be fun silly. Just don't see it being written out that way if it was more fleshed out.

That remark about "Was she forced into this?" really makes me hungry for one of these where the OG Heroine character really is still as innocent as she's "supposed to be" and really was forced into this situation too.
Starting to feel fatigue on "Heroine/Villainess which is which is switched" type stories in this genre, I suppose.

My main complaint with this one is how the fiance and reincarnator were completely oblivious to publicly available information that was well known in the kingdom. Like the fact that the first prince had been living in the marquisate for ten years, or that he had been made crown prince three years ago. And then the ridiculous punishment of indefinite imprisonment for basically embarrasing himself in public. I mean, the king apparently decided that before he did anything, considering the message spell arrived immediately. There were just too many internal inconsistencies.

I don't think the MC was quite as airheaded as she appeared though. Her roasting of the "heroine" was great. "How could you force a lady to wear such outdated clothes!" "No one would oust themselves as such a weak mage!" "You shouldn't laugh at her misfortune!" That was brutal, there's no way she doesn't know what she's doing. She identified the girl as the mastermind, and proceeded to kill her with kindness.

for anyone liking the airhead villainess (in this case she's a reincarnator), with a weirdo heroine... I recommend you Bakarina 2, aka Jishou Akuyaku Reijou na Konyakusha no Kansatsu Kiroku, Bertia is the villaines and we also follow the prince that is a genius.

I quite liked this one. Its as if the world only resembled the setting for the reincarnator, but they didn't realize that it was only just that: a resemblance.
