10/10 great artwork great story. No "oh there was a sequel game made with a prince from another nation who's a notorious flirt" Emotions conveyed well and motivations just beautifully illustrated. This is in large part thanks to the translators who had to choose words and put this together so thank you guys for that.

It's been a while since I read it, so I can be wrong. But Pina ending was more brutal in the book.
At first, she was sentenced to death, but Remi plead for her, she then officially sends to labor instead. Her tongue was cut, and she wasn't particularly guarded either, a lot of prisoners are people who got scammed by her, so she quickly became a target of frustration.
Rape, torture, and heal just enough to not die is her new casual day. There were excellent healers put in place to take care of her and make sure whatever the prisoner did, she won't die. She was burned, disfigured and more, but she is still the only woman the prisoners can get, so it continues.

I guess that was too hardcore to show in the manga

I like the change they did with Pina's punishment (removing the SA, but still dehumanising her)

Lowkey still hoping we get some side stories though (the switched POV chapters)

I was really worried for a moment that they were still hinting at the SA but the more I think about it, it sounded like she was living in torture more so.

Which is....terrifying and scary but makes sense considering the severity of what she did to Emi, the real Pina and the future if she had succeeded at capturing Mr demon merchant.


(Also I gotta admit I felt extra disgusted by seeing her drool over fantasising over those folks when at least one character looked like a young boy...god Pina extreme in everything.)



The rest of the chapter was so cool though, especially seeing the wrap ups and the beautiful confirmation of Angel and Remilia's feelings for each other and their futures.

I'm glad that this manga is ending at a good point. Though I obviously love the manga, it's always tragic when an author or publisher drags out a story way further than necessary to milk it, and I'm glad that didn't happen here. I think I'll forever remember this as one of the best things to come out of the otome genre, if not the best, at least so far.

And thanks to all the translators who worked on this as well. This manga's translation had a fair bit of history and I'm glad it all worked out in the end.
