A changeling in mythology is a fairy child swapped out for a real child in the crib that will look and grow up as if they were the original child. What happens to the original child? I don’t remember, but the important part is that she’s effectively being called as not her father’s child.

Edit: I’m wrong in certain aspects, and there are some important details I missed. Look it up yourself. It’s actually very interesting.

Aah, the manga artist missed drawing Nival's collar in that scene when they're talking about it.

In this story's lore, fairies are seen as inferior spirits (not sure how they're positioned compared to the "nameless").
So calling her "red fairy" is to say she's inferior.

They live in the fairy's world. Although maybe there are also version where the human children are just disposed, just like in case of cuckoos.
There's an episode with changeling in Ancient Magus Bride. Understandably, they're usually killed by the human parent because they're creepy and "not my child".

Me not knowing anything: OMG She's a Changeling. FOR SHAME!!! ...wait why is that bad? :korone:
Because that's like saying she's not her parents' child.
Without risking picking a fight with her family by saying her mother had an affair with another man.

Man, it's a pity she's too dumb to see how she's being used. Tbh at the start I thought the prince would push her off the balcony at the start of the chapter. :pacman:

Thank you for translations! Can't wait for more!

There's actually quite an interesting manga about two girls switched after birth by fairies for no other reason than shit and giggles. I can't remember the name and there's only a couple of chapters translated despite raws having around 30 available. If anyone can remind me what its called, that'd be nice.

I know what manga you're talking about, but I also can't remember the title. It's the one with the blonde oniisan and a childhood friend tsundere fiancee right?

this one?
https://mangadex.org/title/979997f6...-i-became-a-commoner-my-engagement-was-broken

it's licensed by yen press apparently (first volume in November)

also, this was hell to find. I have 1.4k things in my reading, so having no way to sort them (or even know how they get sorted), I just assumed it'd be at the end of the 23 pages. it was on page 9.

What's with female authors and male leads with large hands?
Are big hands really that manly?
Yeah. Like, yeah. There's not much to explain. Having a bigger body, men just typically have bigger hands. It also matches the size of your heart. It's just a typical physical difference people tend to notice, especially once their relationship starts involving physical contact or touching.

Wow, I always knew she was a liar, but that's just plain rude.
