Ok then, i will be a bit of a long one...

So, as we saw she is very cunning and strategic, she will use any means to get what she wants, and i mean any!

First thing she does is go to her father and ask for his support. Her father is very strict and only cares about her brother who is the heir. He is very important to the King since their house is very powerful as they lead the country's "Shadow organization". She persuades him to give her some shadows for protection, and he agrees giving her "John" and a rookie "Poppy". She uses both of them as spies to find out dirt one everyone necessary, not only the capture targets.

Then we meet the other girls. All capture targets have fiances except her brother. They come to Cassandra and want to harass the Saintess for always being next to their fiances. But she stops them and asks them to leave all of it in her hands. They agree...

So her revenge begins by crushing the event where the Saintess first shows her power. She uses her father to make the people in her domain be more hygienic to stop the spread of the plague, and thanks to the shadows spreads the methods around. This method makes people doubt that the Saint is even necessary.
Then on the first party, the Saint event is to heal a poisoned noble woman, but thanks to the shadows she exchanged the drinks and made Poppy dressed as a maid spil the poisoned drink on the Saintess. The poison was actually a super aphrodisiac, which makes her flee horny from the party lol

The Saintess then becomes a shut in and the 1st Prince a laughing stock to all the nobles...

Now that the public eyes have shifted, the Queen invites Cassandra to tea. There she is informed that she and the King value her way more than the 1st Prince (mainly because of her father), and she is asked by the Queen if she wants to switch to the 2nd Prince, that she will be made the Queen no matter what. She actually declines, stating that even tho the 2nd Prince is better and a more fitting King he already has a fiance, and she doesn't want to stand in the way of that. She tells the Queen that she will open the eyes of the 1st Prince... And this is the twist, she plans to marry the 1st Prince even tho he is scum! She wants to crush him so much that he will be just a King in name, she will be the true Ruler!

So the condemnation event is next, but before it happens she walks in the Princes office where all the capture targets are gathered (this is the event from the 1st page we saw in this manga ch). She lays her whole plan in their face, and as they start to insult her her brother defends her. Everyone is stunned why is he taking her side, no one gets it. She actually opened his eyes in secret by stating him some facts how he will be exiled by father and what is really going on with the Saints. It shocked him so much that he switched sides instantly!
She then tells them what is really going on with the Saint. Turns out she fell in love with the handsome Gardners son and is in a physical relationship with him (this is what made her brother disgusted and switch sides lol). Everyone is shocked but it doesn't stop there, she informs the other 3 targets that they are disinherited, and shows them the King's letters. Alexis is to be sent to the frontiers, Heinz is thrown out to be a commoner, and Rudolf is to be sent to another country. All 3 of them get dropped by their fiances as well...
The Prince still can't believe what is happening but she makes it clear that she will not abandon him, and he will still be King. This exchange actually makes him fall for her :kek:

So she does marry him, and becomes the real Ruler. Everything the Prince/King does goes trough her. She also helps the girls get fiances that actually deserve them, and she employs the Saintess and her lover in her family's domain after they eloped.

Then it ends with her saying "I am evil, and i will always be evil. I am the villainess after all."

After the main story we also got 2 side ch, one about her helping an employee in her 1st life, and one from the perspective of the 2nd Prince. The one about the 2nd Prince, Alphonse i think, is very interesting. It turns out event though he is more fitting to be King, he never wanted to be one since he fears Cassandra. He is not truly in love with his fiance yet, he likes and appreciates her very much, and doesn't want to make her cry. So he does everything he can to help his brother be a better King just to avoid getting married to Cassandra :kek:

Here is a bit more context i didn't add in the spoilers...

The Saintess is not a bad person. She's just a nice shy girl who does not get the social rules of this world. She was never in love with any of the capture targets, they were the ones who were stuck to her like glue on their own. Cassandra doesn't have anything against her, but since she is in her way of course she became a target. As you saw in the full spoilers she does make it up to her by giving her and her lover a place to live and work after they eloped. Her healing power is still useful to Cassandra.

The reason all families abandoned the capture targets was because they were to familiar with the Saintess whose worth was so low after that party that no one wanted to be associated with her. They were still defending her need to this country, but the people didn't want anything to do with her... They even refused her healing. Cassandra used that to manipulate everyone to get revenge on them.
Oh and the reason she didn't condemn her brother was that he will be useful and easy to manipulate in the future. After all the Saintess shit, their father did plan to replace him as a heir with their cousin but Cassandra stepped in. This is also the real reason she refused to marry the 2nd Prince, it would not be possible to manipulate him as the 1st Prince.

Cassandra does not fall for the Prince or anyone else! She clearly told him she doesn't love him and that she will only marry him so he can be a King in name only. She also tells him she will have a child with him since it's her duty to have a heir, but he will get no other affection... He is free to have as many lovers as he wants. All of this is what makes him fall for her lol

During the 2nd Prince's side story we get a bit more about their married life, since that story is set after they became the King and Queen. He walks in on them fighting and thinks to himself that they fight all the time. But the reason they fight is that the King is incompetent and Cassandra never approves his work. Here we find out that even though he is a King he will be replaced instantly is she wishes so. We also find out that the 2nd Prince is terrified of that since he will be made her husband and the new King. He makes a promise that he will do everything he can to help his brother, just so he doesn't have to marry Cassandra, who he is afraid of so much lol

I wonder what it'd be like to get sent to a story I've read. Giant sandworms (Dune), the moon exploding and raining down on earth for hundreds of years (Seven Eves), or something like images causing people to speak in ancient Sumerian (Snowcrash). I'd love the power fantasy of The Lazy King, where demons get stronger from following their desires.

Aside from one with a lot of impact like these, most stories are reality adjacent enough, I don't know if I could tell if it was in a book or not.

Okay, a villainess that doubles down even after villainess-ing so hard she got stabbed in her previous life is quite funny.

You'd think the story was set up to be her redemption arc with that reincarnating spirit's line, but...

And I say this without a hint of irony:

Yass, Queen; Slay.

Slay unto your arms be coated red, and washed only with the tears of the foolish men who dared test you, the Goddess that you are, with such trivial things as Saints and Princes.

Go forth, Oh Mighty Queen, and make them rue the day they first drew breath, as they were fated from that moment to become your stepping-stone, your tool... your prey.

Slay, Queen; Slay.
