the pacing is horrendous. the characters are bland. the mc is too dumb. I've been crawling the mangadex villainess theme and this is near bottom tier. Stay away. This is the first one where the ratings and the number of comments didn't match the quality of the work. This is more of a 6.0 IMO.

@DoubleCheekedUp don't. the manhwas dominate this genre in terms of quality and the ones with at least 20k bookmarks are almost always guaranteed quality.

This was bland at first, but now it's incomprehensible. When does the villainess stuff come up? It seems like there are bigger things this country needs to worry about. I don't even see how the MC is relevant.

Oh boy I'm glad you asked. Just go here https://mangadex.org/genre/85?s=11#listing I think around 80% of these most followed titles are winners especially the ones which are rated around 9.0. The ones below 8.0 are still okay and maybe an acquired taste but still way more entertaining than this one. Just a warning though, 99% of these are mostly fluff. Haven't seen one that went on an evil route murder spree but if you have no problem with fluff, go ahead and enjoy.

To Be You, Even Just for a Day - not your typical template story, really villainous characters

I'm a Martial Art Villainess but I'm the Strongest! - a refreshing martial arts take on this trend

The Evil Lady's Hero (some nice smutty fluff, but not much of a Villainess story)

Remarried Empress (not under this tag, but close enough, has lots of similar elements)

Overall, you'd be surprised how little actual villanesses you can find under this tag. A typical manga here would consist of lots of fluff and/or bashing the 'true heroine/saintess/whatever', who usually turns out to be the real villain or just a bitch.
