Right now that you think about it, the problem is pretty much solved if the Albert Family maintains a good connection with the Royal Family and vows to them. That way, they get the Royal Family connection without worrying too much about power if they're both amicable with each other. Which helps by not only Mary's actions towards Alicia but the Mary mama to Alicia mama.
Truly a happy end, because Alicia gets to keep her prickly bestie, Patrick with his entertainment, and most importantly, Mary gets to keep eating her croquettes :3
