The sheer disconnect due to difference in core types of lifeform make this an almost Absurdist level comedy.
The fact that Aoi didn't--or couldn't--speak up about the "lives destroyed" by the alien dog thing, while Ami just never sought to find out how the food was arriving, and "Opu" just being happy about Doing A Thing...just a real case of dissonance, and Aoi's reaction (and lack thereof) with her philosophical musings at the end have me wondering if this is a hint of what's to come.
I had a legit pang over her "waking up" to the noise and immediately saying "Isaku-sama?", though. That little callback to how she seemingly will "auto react" is just depressing, given how long she went after he'd died, before this Alien that doesn't get her or anything else showed up acting like ...well, like Ami in this very chapter.
Thanks for the TL work, as always.
