I would not call this a bug, sounds entirely normal to me.
You could change the alt from ul to div to remove the bullet (which may occur when pasting into apps with textboxes that support formatting). However, I wouldn't call that an improvement or an expected behavior (nor an unexpected one).
To see what he is talking about copy all the alts including the 'Alt name(s):' to ensure the ul is selected. Then paste into something with formatting enabled (eg. word). You will notice everything after 'Alt name(s):' is in newlines with bullets, which... I personally believe is a perfectly valid result.
Highlighting a single name and copying it may not have this feature, since the parent ul may not be selected.
