Alternative to adding more tags. :rejected:

It seems like every day there're more suggestion threads posted championing the need for a specific tag being added to the official list.
If they were all added the list would become bloated and jammed packed with niche entries, and the tag section of the manga's home index page could take up a few pages on it's own!

May I offer another option? 🙂
Perhaps add a keyword search option to the site's search function, with a keyword database created by the users wiki style. (Similar to the crowd source keyword searches on other sites)

Have a action provision on the manga home index page so a user can add a keyword they would like to associate with the manga (gekiga, dragonmilf, heterochromia, tomboy, etc).
(If a user feels passionatly about a topic a keyword represents they can seek out and link it to all the manga that fit the mold.)

Then when a user searches for that specific keyword all the mangas with that word attached to them get dredged up.

The staff wouldn't be forced to continuously modify the list, but could be prompted with a notification when a new keyword is created that hasn't been added, for vetted by moderators,
to ensure it's not irrelevent or gratuitous gibberish, or some sort of hate trolling effort.

@Ivegotnolife People should use MangaUpdates if they want super specific keywords and scenarios, we want to keep tags somewhat manageable
